Here i am, 19 years old. Listening to this, financially broke. But not mindfully. But i have a big big self confidence and hope. This was came from my job. Because, one day i didn't wanted to do my work, and i asked myself is it what i wanted to do? I couldn't find the answer. Because there's no such job that you want to do. But i ain't got a choice. And i stopped complaining and started to use my full potential and effort to my job. And then things have changed. My boss loves me, he trusts my skill more than anyone else in the company. I'm not gonna say i am the best in here. But since i dedicated everything i had my soul, my time, my energy, my focus everything 24/7, things change. I think this is only the way to gain self confidence through experience for the generation of me. I just realized, if i try truly hard i can do everything. No matter what it is, i'll do it anyway.

Good answer on happiness and life. I always use movies as a metaphor; all emotions can be felt without them consuming or overpowering you, sad can feel good (a beautiful sad scene or song) and so can the rest including heartbreak, tension and anything else. It’s not just happy and joy that feels “good” or “enjoyable”, all in your perspective.

Hi Ahmad, this is the first time listening to a podcast of yours. Great insights by Luke and generally a great podcast. But as a listener I've got one word of criticism. When you ask a question, especially with a guest like Luke who does dive deep into the answers he gives, try to remove all the small interruptions you make. You tend to repeat words he says whilst he is still speaking which does become annoying after a while. It's good to confirm that you're listening once in a while but being truly attentive and taking in answers whilst not interrupting in any way at all makes it more enjoyable for us as listeners. Anyway, hope you don't see this as a dig at you, just a little piece of advice. Keep up the hard work!

“You’re not here to be happy. You’re here to live life. You’re here to experience suffering, you’re here to experience tribulation, you’re here to hurt. You’re here to experience heartbreak, pain, joy, pleasure, every single avenue, every single emotion, why would you limit yourself from experiencing that? Why, because you’re scared? You’re afraid? You don’t know how it’s going to work out? It doesn’t feel good? Perfectly fine, but. BUT. I’ve come to understand, I’ve come to realize that the beauty of life isn’t in pursuing happiness, it’s in pursuing experiences and understanding it’s multi disciplinareis, it’s multi lateral, it’s not just one emotion. So I’m not in the business of pursuing happiness, I’m in the business of pursuing life. And life comes in different forms of different seasons… God says bear all things with joy.” Absolutely amazing.
