I have become completely obsessed with this podcast over the last few weeks. I find it so inspiring. The way the space is held for the guests to talk about what they want to is so refreshing, results in this beautifully genuine feeling. Also, I'm going to look into getting a Whoop as a direct result of this episode. I'm fascinated with the relationship between mental and physical health. I think this product could be really helpful for me to make my relationship with health more effective and sustainable. Thanks for another brilliant episode!

The subscription model is the only thing holding me back from whoop. I spent 800$ on the Apple Watch ultra which is by all means extremely expensive but I still prefer that to a never ending subscription
@ccon8 Жыл бұрын
You end up spending more on Apple Watch though because you’ll also continue to replace it
@Cuevas_josh Жыл бұрын
@@ccon8 I usually sell old Apple products abroad because the prices are inflated, so I get back at least 50% of the value after a couple years

@@ccon8nah unless you replace every generation not really. You have it for multiple years and then can trade in part of the value when you upgrade. Whoop is $360 per year

@@solidgod1093 I have Whoop bro. It’s $240 not $360. To me it works because I do martial arts and I can’t have a wearable on my wrist. But Whoop has boxers, rash guards, and arm sleeves where you can put the Whoop sensor in while doing martial arts. On top of that, I take my Whoop inside the sauna. Do you still have / use the whoop? I had oura ring for over a year and loved it, until I lost it. It's cheaper than whoop, but I need the accountability back (for sleep) and the ring gave me that. I don't think I will lose the whoop strap. Are you still using it?

Really good conversation that encouraged me to buy Whoop. Product has been nice so far but their support is the worse experience I've ever had. Non responsive, struggling to provide simple information like what's the return or replacement cost. It's been almost two weeks and I still have not been able to get a response to my questions. Chat only available to new customers. Once item sold - they stop caring about you. Considering this, I'd recommend going with Garmin or Apple rather than Whoop.

You can only admire what he has built given the incumbents in this space - However he mentioned everyone in this space and laddered his product against them (Amazon, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and Amazon) and never mentioned Apple, and he dodged/fudged the acquiring question - my guess is that they are talking with apple or have been to acquire - the Whoop app and journal is a great fit for Apples health and Fitness plus offering, much like acquiring Beats to supplement their music offering
