Maybe I’m just emotional today but I genuinely teared up. The Oxbox and Oxtra crews have been such a regular, reliable part of my life for the past near decade. Having that change is a surprisingly emotional experience. I wish we knew how Oxtra will continue with Ellen as the primary host. But this is a time for celebrations. So farewell Luke! Two things: 1. I subscribed to Outside Xtra because of a comment Luke made about the movie Stardust. I was on the fence about subscribing, but that is one of my favorite movies, and him liking it pushed me over the edge. Now I'm a part of this amazing community of people, that I love to spend time with. So thank you Luke. 2. I bought my *Flamingos Never Say Die* t-shirt because I work at a zoo, and one day a fox got into the flamingo exhibit and killed like a quarter of them. At least 25, if I remember correctly. Ordered the shirt the next day because it was too cosmic not too. Just thought that was worth mentioning. Anyway, thank you Luke for all of the good times you've brought to the channel. Reviewing my year and this was so important that I put it on my calendar. Came here to say how much I miss Luke every time I see Oxbox in my feed. I need more spontaneous singing in my life. From ".gif it out of context" to "beans, beans, beans, beans beeeeee-eans" this stream really gave me a daily dose of improvised music I didn't know I needed. Already watching Luke's new channel, so he's not "gone" but it's sad we won't see them all together much after this. I reminded my sister that we started sharing these videos at the start of the pandemic--all four years ago, and she freaked out that it had been so long. Ellen always comes off as what I can only call very nurturing and kinda mothering, and I am always here for it. Just watching her while Luke was opening the play button and stuff, making sure everything was neat and put away, etc. idk, I just enjoy it. It's wholesome.

Sadly work kept me from the livestream, but what a great send-off for a great guy! Outside Xtra has been a part of my life since pretty much the beginning! - the lists, the games, the streams, & while the sadly now 'defunct' Show Of The Weekend was the highlight of the week for me.... the main thing is the perfect pairing of Luke & Ellen and their often tear-causing banter & laughter!
