I started watching different soaps during summers when I was in junior high school (early 1960s). Sometimes I’d go to another soap, or add a new one to my ‘stories’. Every soap had the ‘IT couple’. The couple you adored, the two you thought were the best ever. I had never watched GENERAL HOSPITAL. I don’t know why. Suddenly one year everything was “Luke and Laura”. Now, as a teacher, I tuned into GENERAL HOSPITAL that summer. There had never been a couple like these two. I was totally hooked on them and GH. I bought a VCR when I had to go back to school in August. I had to see GH EVERY day. And those machines weren’t cheap in those days. I never regretted one penny of what I paid for that VCR. And 25 years later, I insist Luke and Laura were the greatest soap “Super Couple” ever. Thank goodness for KZbin. We can watch so many hours of GENERAL HOSPITAL from those early years and remember why no couple on daytime drama will ever outshine Luke and Laura. ❤️

Great job as usual, Lucas! Thanks especially for some of the older clips. In listening to the difference in how Scotty and Luke simply spoke to Laura, you know why Laura fell in love with Luke!!

Genie Francis is returning in Fe after 4 long years of Guza keeping her off the show. Laura Spencer is coming home. I'm so excited. I love Luke and Laura.
