“Beverly Hills, 90210” has been rebooted and, while audiences are celebrating the show’s return, many are still mourning the loss of Luke Perry. Perry passed away earlier this year aged just 52. When “Beverly Hills, 90210” premiered in 1990, it became an instant hit with young viewers. In 1991, Inside Edition caught up with Perry and his co-star Brian Austin Green. Perry said sudden fame could be dangerous and wanted to assure his fans that he planned on a career beyond the hit TV show. #InsideEdition

That is a good question. I remember when 90210 came out I was in 2nd grade and back then I remember some of my classmates saying they watched this show and even quoting it. I also remember the lunch boxes that came out of 90210. Now when I think about it why was merchandise like that targeted toward young children? Especially a show with mature themes.
