I cannot count the number of times that I have shaken my fist asking “Why Tim? I cannot remember another person I trusted more in the news. He was a good and decent soul who shared himself with all of us. I miss him.

His soul and honesty translated through the lenses and cameras. Biden and fashion models have that born gift. Great interview for those of us that couldn't hold hands at the end.

Yes, and the main lesson is, it’s better to be rich than poor. Who can afford to visit 65 countries? I feel sorrier for the kids having trouble paying back college loans, and well-educated females & minorities among them who experience crushing discrimination as they enter the work force, earning hardly more than the minimum wage, facing a housing crisis and a climate disaster.

Looking forward to reading this book. Thanks. Great guest. Appreciate his humility when you asked about him about getting the hosting job at such a young age. Katie you could have gone 5 degrees easier on him around that. Put yourself in that position. It’s a hard life decision to make at age 22. I respect exactly the way he made that decision, ie by limiting his contract to a year. Thanks again for the great interview.

Great interview! My favorite Tim memory ... As I recall it, Tim was being interviewed & subject of tattoos came up. He said he despised tattoos & had always strongly advised Luke to never get one. When Luke told his Dad he had gotten a tattoo, Tim was miffed wanted to see it. Luke pulled up his shirt & showed his Dad the letters TJR tattooed on the left side of his chest. Luke said, "This way I will always have you & Granddad on my side." Tim was speechless - those were his & his Father's initials. ♥

Hello Luke ! Always loved watching your dad! I’m from Winchester, NY, a stones throw from where your dad and grandpa lived. I’d see your grandpa shopping at Tops and we chatted @ the Yankees(?) game that the three of you had gone to in NYC. I also saw your dads desk/room at the News Museum in Washington. Boy, I wish your dad was here to see what’s happening in the USA Today….best wishes !

Yes, loved watching Tim on Meet The Press and watching Luke all grown up and listening to him brings memories back to me. I love Katie's style of questioning him and it's extra special cause she was a colleague and friends with The Russerts. It's like 2 friends talking, but knowing a lot of people will eventually watch it. Very personal and special. Loved this and can't wait to read your book Luke. I remember when Tim had Sen. Joe Biden on Meet the press about 20 years ago and that was the best interview I had ever seen. I loved Biden's answers and thought: this guy would make a great president. Then a flash came over me and I thought: he will be president. That was one the most special Meet the Press moments I had. The other one was Tim figured out right there on Meet The Press that Obama had enough electoral college numbers to become president and that history was about to be made. He was so excited and beaming. Loved watching Tim, he was like us everyday average people talking to us on our level and we all related to him. We thought he was our friend hosting a political show and liked Springsteen too. I remember him all excited watching Springsteen play on The Today Show at 30 Rock plaza. He wouldn't have missed that for the world. What a great guy you had for a Dad, Luke, but you already knew that. Thanks Katie, great job and P.S. - where did you get your new glasses, love them. They are perfect.

Ive been traveling for two years after seeing both of my parents thru hospice. Currently in Southern France. Heading back to the USA next month. These historic stone buildings are in my DNA. So far can surmise running from inertia and running toward new beginnings. ... A garden may be somewhere on the horizon. Anyway, these crossroads are happening for all ages.

Loved Tim Russert on Meet the Press. He was America's most respected journalist and a genuinely nice man.⚘ Today, there are too many on television that are disrespectful, if not downright mean and nasty. Guess it's for viral moments. 🙄
