I'm with Luke when it comes to phone calls; I mostly don't mind making them, but it does depend on who and why I'm calling. Doctor's office or veterinarian office? That's fine, because it's necessary. Something major like with my bank or related to my student loans? Yeah, I'd rather talk to an actual person where I can make myself clear and make sure there isn't some misunderstand. All to easy for things to get misinterpreted or whatever in an email. There are also a number of situations where I'd rather go in-person to talk to whoever I need to.
