This was great. I love how there was no judgement when Seamus was learning how to re-ride a bike. They were just like " this is how you do it, do you want me to walk along with you." there was no being mean or rudeness about it. Just hey you need help, ill help you. Then when he got his confidence up and was able to do it yall were excited with him. It was nice seeing both Luke and Seamus learn side by side and no one was left to feel less than. And really there nothing to be ashamed of. You cant ride a bike if you dont have one, and you cant learn to ride a bike without a bike or some help. Great job guys.

Not immediately useful, but we rotate toys in my house. I put up a large tote and pull it out for school breaks and we refill it. Pulling out toys the boys haven't seen for threeish months is like having "new" toys without any cost.

yay go Seamus! Glad he managed to get on the bike! And to stick up for him getting the kettle vs microwave tea test wrong - it takes at least a couple of days to acclimatise to new water especially in a new continent

Okay, so when you boil the water in a kettle it boils to a specific temperature (usually 100°C) which helps with tea brewing. Black teas brew with better flavor if brewed at 100°C and green tea is best at 75°-80°C. In a microwave you can't guarantee the temperature. Additionally, because kettles heats from the bottom and it boils it areates the water differently than a microwave. For tea you want as much oxygen in your boiled water as possible. It’s also why you shouldn’t double boil the water in your kettle. The tea doesn’t steep as well in les oxygenated water. I'm not British either - I'm Australian!

It's totally possible to forget how to ride a bike. When I was in college I had to reteach myself how because the campus was huge and car parking was expensive. Took about a day to relearn, but by the end of the semester it was a no brainer.

For some people it’s easier to already be half sitting on the bike seat when you start, instead of using the petal to get on to the seat. It also might depend on the type of bike and where you’re biking. And then there’s what I like to call the Japanese old lady way of starting (which is actually impressive, I’m surprised they don’t fall over). Stand on one side of the bike and put on foot on the petal, kick the ground with the other foot like your on a scooter, than swing your leg over the seat to the other petal or moving it over the center bar if it’s low enough

In a lot of places in the states there is no use for a bike Bc you can’t travel anywhere that isn’t a highway in which cars will hit you. I wish I could bike places but sadly urban sprawl has prevented that in some places. Same is probs for Seamus if he lives outside London or a major city
