Luke Skywalker meant everything to me as a kid.
He was a symbol of optimism and hope. A symbol of never compromising on who you are, and what you believe in, even when it could mean your very death.
Mark Hamill was a perfect casting for the role. He embodied all of the characters you would need to fill the shoes of such a character. He was believable, and real. There will never be another Luke Skywalker.
So here's to the beautiful character that made so many of our childhoods: Luke Skywalker

It’s clear that if Luke is to be revived, Mark can no longer be the one to do that job. And if he gets “revived”, it will never be under the direction of current Disney leadership.

@@starwarsbunker I'm actually writing my own idea of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. It doesn't have Rey Palpatine, Kylo Ren, Poe, Finn and Rose. It has Luke Skywalker, Leia Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Lando calrissian, c3po, R2 D2, force ghost Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) force ghost Obi Wan Kenobi (Alec Guinness), force ghost Yoda and Ahsoka. And in one scene the force Ghosts of the jedis from the prequels. And the main villain of my vision is Darth plagueis the wise who can cheat death. So there is no ridiculous unexplained return of Palpatine. And I've written a scene that shows Leia meditating for the first time in years trying to contact her father Anakin forgiving him finally understanding that Luke was right about Palpatine manipulating anakin's mind into evil. Anakin shows up and they share a nice father-daughter moment. And the reason in my version of why Darth plagueis is alive is because he would have foreseen Palpatine's betrayal and attempted murder of him in bed so he faked his death.

I'll always remember the EU and Original Trilogy Luke. Even training with Yoda, Luke was more powerful than Rey. George wasn't lazy and quick with his characters like Disney and Kathleen Kennedy is. Honestly as a person, i feel sorry for Daisy Ridley for having Disney turn her into a Luke from Legends wannabe. She's only got her job to keep her from getting friends from the original and prequel movie fans. Sequel fans can do whatever they want. It's like DC right now how it should be dark, but it was taken back by WB and turned into comedy central by James Gunn the new director.

JJ definitely tried his best to salvage what TLJ did. In TROS at least we actually saw Luke training Rey as he should’ve done in TLJ.

Goodbye to the end of real canon through episode 6 and the EU to the end. That's my current canon. This is just rubbish and trash.
