Enjoyed that guys. I used to play in goal when I was younger and hearing him say he's fallen out of love with goalkeeping just seems so odd. He'll really miss it one day. I love his honesty - saying he watched Van Der Sar and Foster, etc and then saying "I've tried but I am not that standard - but I can still play elsewhere" is brilliant. Good luck to the man.

Heh guys. I have come across this podcast a few months ago. Despite being a football fan of 47 years many of the guests you have on I don’t know. Regardless of this fact I cannot express in words how much I love your interviews. There are some very comical and mad ones which is immense and also some serious type ones too. I think the mix of these only adds to your growing podcast. I am raving about it to anyone football fans I meet. One thing I will ask, have you considered doing some of these with Irish League and League if Ireland players. I know some real nutters characters from it. Just a thought and anyway wishing you all a Merry Christmas and keep up the great work.

What a top bloke Luke Steele is. As a Barnsley fan, always thought he was an absolute legend - but what a nice bloke. Great that he’s training with us. Would love him to pop on as a striker - let’s give him 5 minutes at the end of a cup game. 👍

Steeley is more than good enough to play on in league 1 and start as your a long time retired. He has fallen out of love with playing which is clear but also I think his last 4 years of being stop start and not being consistent playing at 3 different clubs doesn't help the decision. But also john has a fair point in how much does he miss it and he will only know when he does stop fully and then it is too late. At Barnsley and panathaniokos he was playing week in week out and playing the best football he has played. Needing a club within 1 hour 30 minutes drive really hull, Donny, Rotherham, Barnsley, Peterborough, Lincoln would all be good moves
