If I remember correctly, central and southern Texas planted trees in the fall. The reason was the fact that the fall and winter had cooler weather. The spring did not last long. Temperatures still produced a few freezes until about March 1, and by April first temperatures hit 100 degrees which killed the newly planted trees.

Спасибо за видео и за деревья! Если рядом с домом сажать можно бурить три дырки и в две переодически добавлять отходы с кухни и другую органику Удачи друзья!

Why did you choose to plant a lot of medronho trees?
@lukeandsarahsoffgridlife5 сағат бұрын
They are native, drought resistant and great for privacy

Surely you ought to plant trees at their maximum period of growth in April May, not when the growth is dormant and going into hibernation 🤔🙄😊
@quintadovalepermaculture5 сағат бұрын
In this climate, you need to plant at the beginning of the rainy season so the tree's root system has a chance to get established over the winter, both to support new growth in spring and to take the trees through the hot dry summer. If you plant in April/May, there's not a chance the trees will survive the summer.

@@quintadovalepermaculture I don't think the climate matters to the plants. The best chance they have is when their DNA tells them to grow. Don't take my word for it try it.🙂👍

What a fantastic idea. I'll ignore climate and plant palm trees in Sweden.
@JAde-tm1yb5 сағат бұрын
@@spellwithane6888 the plant tells us what it needs by its responses. Also human common sense should be used to interpret the plants response. I'm responding to the mention of poor previous success in the planting of trees. If you believe Palm trees are native to Sweden in relation to planting in Portugal. Then good luck to you and your common sense.
