Man...this song hits home. Lost a good friend this past year and every time I hear this song I break down. When you're young, you feel invincible...nothing can take you down. But then life starts catching up...maybe it's grandparents...or pets...but you start realizing just how short life really is. Take it from this old man...cherish your youth because it'll be gone before you know it... I knew my buddy Keith since we were young bucks. It was IMPOSSIBLE to be in a bad mood around him. I could be having the worst day and run into him and he would go into his Randy "Macho Man" Savage routine and have the whole place laughing to tears. He could pick up a guitar or get on drums and play along to damn near anything. It was always a good time around him... He was in the hospital and I didn't realize just how bad of shape he was in. Kept meaning to go see him...but you know how life gets in the way..."Tomorrow" or "I'm just too tired"...I guess I waited too long. R.I.P. Brother Keith...we're all down here missing you and I sure as hell wish I could hang out just one more time. 😢

In January six years ago, my grandpa on my mom's side died. I never met my maternal grandma because she died when my mom was pregnant with my brother that is 12 years older than me. 2 years ago, one of my neighbors that I would help passed away and that hit me really hard. Last year, we had to put the family dog down, and last October I got really sick for 2 months, but when I got out my neighbor knew I would want to see her, so she came across the street to see me, and about 2 months later, I asked her husband where she was cause I hadn't seen her in a few days, they said she was in the hospital and 3 days later, she had passed away, so that really hit me harder than anything. A few days ago my dad's cousin passed away and they had the funeral today

Today i lost my pup. I know it's not the same as a brother or a parent but he was still a loved one and a part of the family. My boy was only 5 months old and he got hit by a truck and died. He loved to chase the cows and run in the field with them so we buried him out in the cow field where he always loved to be. Its gunna be a long time before i get over this pup. My dad died November 12 I'm 12 and I was at school when it happened. me and my dad were closer than my mom and I. we live on a farm and there wasn't a moment I wasn't with him. he was a dump truck driver. this was the song played at his funeral. over 100 dump trucks piled into our tiny 200 person town when they stopped at the cemetery the blew their horns for 20 minutes and my dad knew ppl from miles away he knew everyone in our town if you lived in our state you've heard the name "Big Al" . were people blocking up roads and we were out of chairs and people we're standing at the funeral. Thank for this song.

My man lost his cousin the other day. They are good ole country boys whose favorite thing to do is post up on the tailgate of the truck in the pastor and pop a couple of tops. They would watch the cattle and horses move as they talked about any and everything for hours. Yesterday My man was a pallbearer at his best friend's funeral. After the grave side service he looked at me and said "Baby, I'm not ready to go home. I'm gonna grab an 18 pack. Do you mind if we ride through the pasture before we go home?" We went through the gate, positioned the tail gate toward the setting sun on top of a hill, and turned up the radio. This song came on as soon as he popped his first top, and he looked at me and smiled through tears. Thank you for this song. You helped him say goodbye in a perfect way. It was surreal and incredible.
