This video was recorded on the 16th November 2023, if you look at my previous upload before this one, (kzbin.info/www/bejne/o57Yioyun5qBi6M) which was recorded more recently on the 6th december 2023 and uploaded on the same day, you'll see that i now have strap protectors since asking for them. Evidence of video files geolocation time and date can be found in this unlisted short. kzbin.infogMWWohUo22o?si=D4Bwhmdv4GqDYK2f You’re right though, it isn’t ideal which is why I doubled up on everything just in case one did break, and made sure I had protectors for the next time ☺️

Great vid as always,only criticism on the concrete section strapping,no edge protecters on the edges of everything,cast concrete has sharp edges and will eat through your straps. Also your putting the strap ends on the side rail of the trailer,dvsa will have you for that. Stay safe and keep them coming

I'm a Class 2 Tipper Driver. I always find it odd when a local kicks of that you're driving a wagon down "their" country lane like they own the road and surrounding area. Yet they'll be the first too winge if bloody weight rose doesn't have the specific type of caviar they like because the wagon couldn't make it.

Hi Luke. Great video. Interesting about the off load at building site. Engines. These days engine oil flows much easier therefore one can shut engine off as soon as stop. May be an idea to have another set of work boots, as especially as you stepped in puddle. !

That house builder is known for not putting the roads in first - looks like you were delivering to the subbie groundworker. No wheel wash and delivery route signs which is typical even though the Council asks for them! No tool box talk either. Some sites now have to put inflatable bags around the trailer being unloaded in case anyone falls off!

The load goes forward when you brake. An emergency braking situation would have those two tall loads on the back vulnerable. Two straps across the front,so it can't move forward. One over the load . Maybe one around the back. No such thing as overkill on strapping a load

Luke: A small suggestion: there's no need to spend money EVERY SINGLE TIME your working gloves get wet. Buy some disposal gloves or medical gloves and wear that under your working gloves. So put the disposal/medical gloves on first, then your working gloves. That way, if they do get wet, your hands won't (besides sweat, can't prevent that) nor dirty.
@lukecinahgv

@@lukecinahgv When I do my gardening or any dirty work, I use that idea. Works splendid. Just becareful that those gloves do tear if your doing some heay duty work but with the working gloves it shouldn't be a problem. You might get some water thru wrist but it's better than completely soaked hands.

Great video. Quite frankly, I don't know how you put up with all the Neanderthal Range Rover drivers plus others who seem to just park anywhere having no regards that it is a construction site and heavy vehicles and equipment would be expected. 30 quid to park a truck overnight, what's that all about. In this neck of the woods not only can you park free, but use showers and have rest rooms.

I totally agree with you Simonbaker ! It's the driver who gets the load there ASAP if the customer gets a pod on if you're late tough ! Come on RayOLight we can't control the weather or road problems neither can we Time Travel . Drivers will never get a better going on unless we stick to the rules.
