Just listening to this tonight. I paused half way, and called, talked to my dad for 45 minutes shooting the breeze. Then I continued to listen. Thank you for sharing, Bernie ( a 48 yo mechanic) from South Jersey.

I was driving on my way to a club tournament and listened to this. I would like to, once again, extend my profound sorrow for your loss. But listening to this episode, I had to pull over and wipe the sweat from my eyes. This took me back to my hero, my dad. He was good and in the 70's dad beat big names in a rival organization to BASS known as the American Bass Fisherman. Paul Elias was dad's personal friend. I watched as a teenager beat big name pros. Hang in there Luke. Prayers for you and the family.

Continued prayers for you, Luke & the whole family. I lost my Dad in 2014 from a sudden heart attack & it was one of the most difficult things in my life. The healing process will be ongoing but it helps to talk about the good times & wonderful memories you made together. I love the message to Be BIG. Take care of yourself! Sending hugs to you all. ❤️🩹

Luke I just found out about your dad and wanted to let you know my husband I send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. My mother (who has Alzheimer's) had a horrific fall the day after Thanksgiving and we have been in the hospital since. We were not sure she was going to recover, but thank the good Lord she is expected to go home today or tomorrow and she is doing pretty good. The near death experience was devasting enough to me so my heart truly aches for your loss!!! Take care and keep on keeping on making him proud of you!!!

Damn, blown away. Praying for you. My dad is 83 is my best friend and we once fought every day trying to start and run a company together, fished every weekend trying to be the best bass fishing team we could be. We realized we just needed to be father and son and not work together. Still bass fished, musky fished, crappy fished, hunted and still did small side jobs together. My sisters and the grandkids do not know him the way I did. We fished/hunted/worked together from my 5th birthday till I was 32. He then retired and I went on to work for a large company. My whole work existence is to show how well my dad trained me. He is now at the end of life and this podcast has me in bad shape. 8 years ago he said he could no longer fish out of a boat. I gave up my boat. I still keep up with all things bass fishing but haven’t been able to fish out of a boat since. Haven’t hunted since. I have made a goal to start back next year. Praying for you brother!!!

I can’t even listen to this without choking up Luke! We share a similar story, same age, lost both my parents over the last few years. Dad also a local fishing hero that filled up a room, didn’t show that soft side though but knew it was in there. Hang in there man, thanks to big Marty for creating this traveling circus world. Loved the stories. Low lifer 👊🏻 Also my dad’s advice he gave me the most fishing, throw a spinnerbait on the windy side.

Super sorry for the loss. Me n my buddies got an annual trip started back in 2020 to take our dads to the big bass splash on Gville every year. It is the perfect tourney for some old guys who just want to soak their jig. It’s has created some great memories and not knowing how many years left you have with your dad it was important for me to have something for him to look forward to every year. Keep your spirits up! I’d assume most of us are ate up with bass fishing because of our dad’s.
