Banger video!!! 100% agree the provisional is stupid, same as divots in the fairway. I don't agree with stroke and distance on OB shots. I think it should be like a hazard, 2 club lengths and drop it. I once hit one so far into the forest in a Monday Qualifier. I teed up another and proceeded to get ready to hit it. The official says are you going to announce it. I said announce what? He said that you're hitting a provisional ball. I proceeded to curse at him with MFer it's 100 yards in the forest, I'm not looking for that. I was wrong for cursing at him, but the rule is stupid when it's obvious. I can understand it when it's borderline maybe in or out.

Regarding the "high tide vs low tide" question: The additional gravity from the moon is completely inconsequential on a putt. For one thing, the ball has virtually zero mass. Secondly, the other forces, such as the kinetic energy (from the club) being transferred into acceleration, and even the friction from the blades of grass, have significant influence on the path of the ball, rendering any gravitational fluctuations totally irrelevant.

min 34. Stick to golf Kwon. Gravity is relative to your distance from the core of the earth. Altitude. We refer to 1 g but it's really centripal accelerate of 9.8 m/s (squared). So, if you were standing on the same exact spot at high and low tide, you would experience the exact same gravity. Now, could tidal changes affect putts. Yes! not because of gravity, but because of how the ground under the greens may move if close enough to the water and the soil isn't sufficiently sandy. It can cause a slight swelling of the ground and then a slight fall of the earth when the tide goes back out.

While the Moon's gravity does technically pull on everything on Earth, including balls, the force is so small compared to Earth's gravity that you wouldn't be able to detect any difference in how a ball behaves due to the Moon's influence. YW 👍

I went on a 4 month vacation to Australia. I played cricket, golf, and partied. I found 2 or 3 rounds a week was enough. Even if I wasn't playing incredibly long and hard cricket, I still wouldn't play more golf, I dont think.

At the creator classic, ive always wondered why Wesley didn't give the whole group the tip to use the other fairway. I had no Idea who Roger Steele was before that event, but i did feel like he was shorted a bit by not having that information while the other 3 did. No hate, as Wesley had no obligations to tell anyone, and Roger handled it well on air as i didn't feel he called Wesley out, he was just expression a shared emotion of "it would of been nice to know what the other guys knew"
