Thank you Luke, I did enjoy it so much! Let me ask you something... while watching your videos (which by the way I must say all of them are delicious) I was thinking about a topic that perhaps many other followers would be interested in... why not doing a video about yourself? I mean, who you are, your education, what have you brought ending up doing this great Mac videos, your hobbies, thoughts, views, musical tastes, etc. I'm sure I'm not the only curious! Anyway, thanks so much for all your content! Hugs from Barcelona!

@arthurgamerpro65852 жыл бұрын
why golden era?
@Joshtheweatherman Жыл бұрын
@@arthurgamerpro6585 This was the golden era of Apple, when Jobs was still CEO. Apple mainly focused on innovation and features. Now, Apple is taking good features away, and innovation is reversing. I used iPhone back about 6 years ago. IMO after the iPhone X, is when Apple lost innovation. That's why I switched to Samsung. Once Apple starts innovating, and add very useful features, I will consider another iPhone. Plus, you don't get that "perfect" Apple treatment anymore when you unbox a brand new product.

Okay, I also have a MacBookPro just like this one. It is an A1226 from early 2008, and I have had it for years. I have also upgraded it over the years and it is now max-ed out for peak performance. I have a 500GB SSD in it, a full complement of 6GB RAM, and fully loaded with every app I could possibly run, including the complete CS6 extended, full Microsoft Office for MAC, Google Earth, iTunes, iPhoto, etc. etc. . My DVD player still works. I can plug in headphones. Can go wireless or use an ethernet cable. I have been running MAX OSX Yosemite without a hitch for years with excellent speed. The only thing I had to change was one internal cooling fan, and a battery --- and this is over the span of 12+ years. This model was also the very last one before the Unibody was introduced ( so just like the one is this video). I am still running all Adobe apps on it without any special licensing. Also all Microsoft Apps, including MS Word, without any subscription fees either. This MacBook Pro has been an absolute workhorse for me ---- and I am a real horseman so understand that term well. I highly recommend this kind of MacBook as you can keep it running forever and only have some limitations when it comes to streaming or gaming. But since I don't use my MacBook for either of these things I have been very satisfied. I also have 2 other MacBooks, both A1286's... to me, the best ever MacBookPro's ever made ---- but my 1226A from 2008 is right up there with them. I am a professional graphics artist and have done endless projects on this MacBookPro on Adobe CS6 extended, without ever having to consider upgrading to Creative Cloud. Last word: If Steve Jobs was still alive he would not countenance the new Apple MacBooks that have no way for anyone to upgrade or modify their components ---- like adding a new SSD hard drive, or adding in additional RAM sticks. As you may have guessed... I am a big time MacUser here, age 71, and still loving my old Macs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So Luke you are not alone.

Typing this while watching and I can’t wait to see the start up video. The music, the graphics. So many memories. My first Mac was an iMac.
