Watched a friend throwing it this morning. And it's very interesting how different the hk balls are from hybrid to pearl etc. Like the mindset. But this one does look very very good and I can definitely see the criterion comparison. And I hard agree. Nice to see that it wasn't anything wild and over complicated. We want a theorem but pearl.

Both Theorem balls and the Criterion are at the top of my buying list. I was hoping to see an Archetype Pearl announced this year though. I finally got an Intense Mindset this week. Looking forward to getting it drilled.

This would be a solid 2 or a high 3 depending on what strength of stuff you generally use. It's a really strong ball, so definitely wouldn't be any lower than 3, and that's even pushing it a little.

Yep, it's a little awkward the first time, but once you get it figured out it's pretty easy.

How would you say it compares to the Vaporize?

This one is earlier and smoother, more of a hockey stick hook set shape than the rounder continuous shape of the Vaporize. About the same strength though.

This looks to me like it would be in the same zone as the VEBO or Attention Star on the SPI side. Strong, cleaner asym but still a step down from the big pearls like the Harsh Pearl or DNA Coil. Would you agree?

Theoretically yes, it's kind of in between them though. Stronger than the VEBO and Star, but not as early at least as the Harsh Pearl. Virtually on top of the DNA Coil though. B7's covers in general are a fair bit stronger than Storm's

I am looking for a ball that is similar to the Hammer Effect but reads a bit earlier. Is the Track Theorem a good choice? What else might you suggest?

I think you're going to need something like the Mesmerize, the Effect is about the strongest shiny ball on the market, so you're going to need something with some surface. The Mesmerize is still really angular and dynamic, it just does definitely pick up sooner and is a little stronger. The Theorem is going the wrong direction, great ball but doesn't sound like what you're after.

@@LukeRosdahl Thank you so much for taking the time for a very thoughtful reply. Balls like the Mesmerize have generally been too early and sluggish for me. However, you may have talked me into getting a Scorpion Strike for another gap I have. I may have not phrased my initial question right as bowling ball terms are somewhat counter intuitive to me. I LOVE the Effect but sometimes it is just to fast and quick down the lane. I want something I the strong/sharp category that is still very clean, but not as clean and fast as the Effective. I suppose I could also buy an Abralon pad. Again, thank you.

Ohhhh, ok, yeah I think you need the Strike then. The Effect was always too much everything for me, and yeah just taking a 3000 pad to it to knock the shine off and slow it down might be the trick too. That's what made the Theorem click for me.
