This mushroom hunting video was recorded on 6th of September 2024 in Czechia, Europe. It shows picking of Boletus edulis (King bolete / Cep / Penny bun) and Leccinum versipelle (Orange birch bolete). Many of the ceps were cracking from the warm and dry weather.

Damn! I got rained on like crazy today (England) and only found parasitic boletes feasting on some dying puffballs. I am pleased because these are rare, but still would have wanted something for the bag

If it rained today then you may need to wait for 1-2 weeks until some more species start to grow, so I recommend to check regularily. Still great to hear about the parasitic boletes though :)

In Czechia there are almost no bears, so it's OK here. It's a bit different situation when I forage in Slovakia, because there they are.
