I saw this when it came out, maybe 10 years ago..and I cried. I felt that even if, perhaps, not all those who we see read the letter, were gay or pro gay rights, they still knew that what was written was unacceptable and advised that the couple not go to that hotel and to report the place to the police. doing the right thing is not always easy especially if it might go against your own principles..but the right thing is typically irrefutable and the road better taken.

Man, this is one of the most wholesome things, I'm going to Spain next month (first time leaving Ireland in 15 yrs) and I'm Lgbt myself, last time I left the country was when I was 6 which I can barely remember, I'm a lil nervous about being in a different country for practically the first time and if things there might be a lil different but this was comforting af

Loved your reaction. I have always struggled to understand why anyone is homophobic. How in the world does it affect anyone who others are attracted to or are in a relationship with? Why use so much energy on being angry about something that does not affect you? Others orientation is none of my business and weather you're gay, straight, bi or anything else does in no way affect how you are as a person. Love is love 🏳️🌈

Thank you! I have never understood it either, everyone should just be able to live their lives the way they want and have the same chance to be happy. Thanks so much for your comment

You are more than welcome to come and hold hands and kiss anyone you want on the streets. If anyone has a problem with that, they'll be the ones pointed at. Kind regards from Spain.

Hi Luke, unfortunately the far right is getting stronger, and is really scary, but thank you for this video, it was good to see random normal people reacting in such a supportive way, I love Spanish people for that.

Yeah I have seen a lot about Vox recently and it makes me so sad! Hopefully they won't get too strong that they control the country, but I can understand it's scary. I love Spanish people for how open and tolerant they are, and how friendly and supportive they are, so I hope that continues! :D

Hi dude. Here's a new subscriber 😉 Unfortunately homophobia 0 does not exist in any country in the world but in Spain and thanks to many years of normalization, homosexual, transsexual, non-binary, bisexual people etc etc can feel freer and safer than in other places in the world. world. This should happen everywhere. I am very proud of my country and the 100% equality that women have been fighting for like many groups. Happy to see that most Spaniards do not tolerate social injustice. As a country we have a lot to improve but I am happy with the progress considering that Spain emerged from a harsh dictatorship less than 50 years ago. You and all the free and open-minded people from anywhere in the world who visit Spain feel at home. Hugs and kisses to everyone. Peace, love and welcome ✌🏼♥️🇪🇸

Is there a lot of homophobia in the UK? I hear that London is pretty ok, but the countryside gets a bad name.
@TheLukeRose3 жыл бұрын
I think generally it's not as bad as in other countries. London is pretty good as is Brighton. Definitely agree that the more rural you get, the more likely you are to experience homophobia and bigotry. Very sad :(
