Just some clarifications for people who want to no more about the game: - Gravitation does play a role in time dilation, but it is the speed that is the factor here. You're traveling through gates kind of like Mass Effect relays, but with realistic physics. No Element Zero. - All the "Aliens" in this universe have a terrestrial origins. They were all Human at some point, or animals and so on. gene-tailoring and 30.000 years can make things weird. - There are "awakened animals" which are basically uplifted earth animals, made for different tasks, like Pigs as security guards and Bears as combat medics (kind of odd the bear one). - Wizards of the Coast gave them a blank check and all they wanted in return is a Sci-fi franchise for ...franchising I guess. Both parties said stuff along this line, so could be true or marketing. - Archetype said they have full creative control and could hire anyone they wanted. Even some contemporary Sci-fi Authors. One of them already released a book in this Universe. - There is an Exodus episode in the Secret Level tv show. But also Blur Studio, the makers of the show, are somehow involved in the Game.

Not a bad record. Fallout, Dark Souls, Bioshock, the original Call of Duty, Titanfall, Dragon Age, and arguably even Mass Effect itself (created because BioWare was unhappy with proposed time constraints for making a KOTOR sequel, so they made their own game instead).

no time dilation has nothing to do with gravity, its about speed in spacetime, in a sense faster you move to the speed of light, the more hard for your spacetime to catch up so it will appear slower than you can feel, so 1 year in your pov to get to a star will seen as 10 for others, the closer you travel to the speed of light, the more time dilation you experience

WotC wanted to make an offshoot studio for sci-fi and other things. In order to woo James Ohlen(from Bioware) to head the studio, he said he'd only do it if his contract stated he could run the company the way he wanted. This is early footage...I don't have an issue with 30 fps at this stage of development. Hopefully they'll be able to get it to 60 for consoles, though that doesn't affect me. I really wish people would stop saying "Spiritual successor to Mass Effect". I don't view that as a good thing. If anything Exodus is going to be everything that Starfield tried to be and more. What's the issue with her air? She has short bangs and the rest is up in a small bun...I don't see an issue. It would be easy to maintain and fight in. The "space bear" is an Awakened...animals that have been modified using technology for specific purposes. In the case of the bears, their original purpose was to act as rescuers for people who get stranded/injured on other planets they're exploring(like saint Bernards were on Earth), but their purpose has been twisted and many of them are now soldiers in a war. The whole thing with the Awakened is pretty cool. There are many different types, and they have a 250k + vocabulary. All of this stuff is on the Exodus main site. The game has tremendous potential and I'm looking forward to seeing is Archetype can deliver because the lore in this game is interesting, plus they have a lot of big brain science concepts.

Starfield was purely about space exploration and humanity's pioneering spirit. It was a love letter to star gazers and space enthusiasts. Which is probably why it didn't catch on as well with the general audience. Very niche. That's all to say that this seems to be very narrative focused with not as much arbitrary planet hopping or exploration. Two very different games.

There is exactly one game that I will play at 30 FPS, and that is Bloodborne...I switched to mostly PC gaming 7 years ago and it has made dealing with 30 FPS just painful...It even takes me a couple hours of playing Bloodborne before I stop feeling motion sick...

Funnily enough, visual design of this reminds me a lot of Mass Effect Andromeda... And that's really not a bad thing. With many problems that game had, art was not one of them. If you do not mind possible spoiler: On some old Q&A the devs hinted at the fact that we find technology that we can chose to use to modify our character to become more alien - since that is apparently already possible in this universe. So playing as an alien might be a choice as we advance in the story, even how much alien you want to become.

come on Luke, you get it, you just don't wanna say it. stop the cap. and 30fps was actually decent and smooth on previous consoles. 30 fps on ps5 and series x is absolute trash. the only AAA that ran half decent at 30 was Starfield. every single other AAA i've played on current gen consoles has been a god awful experience.
