Unlocking Recon armor in Halo 3 feels way more rewarding than unlocking this shit. Achilles requires time and grind while Recon rewards you for unlocking Mythic achievements. Most people who enjoy playing Halo (like myself) don't have the time to unlock the Achilles. I don't want to waste my life unlocking something that will not benefit me in the long run. If I were to unlock Achilles, will I be rewarded to get a VIP pass to go visit 343 industries? Will it unlock exclusive REQ's such as armor, weapons, etc? Gaming is a hobby not a lifestyle.

Just looked up my career Halo kill total out of curiosity... Halo 1 was offline so don't have stats for it but totaling my kills from Halo 2, 3, Reach, 4, MCC, and 5 gets me just over 225,000 kills. I played Halo 1 MP with friends about as much as Halo 2 online so probably can add another 30,000 kills for that so my total series kills since 2001 is probably in the vicinity of 250,000 to 260,000 kills. Just over halfway to the 500k mark and that's with 16 years of playing Halo... wow

I feel that this is worth mentioning: Those numbers you were using are only for Level 5 of the Commendations. The counters reset after you complete each Level. Meaning, in the case of No Hard Feelings, that you have to get hundreds of thousands of kills before the 486,000 of Level 5.

You didn't take into account you need at LEAST 4 players for your company to become "active", because if you don't, any kill you do won't count towards the achiless commendations. I have the aquilles armor and helmet, I got it rather quickly with my company, which had like 70 very active members.

I think this amour was a good idea by 343I. The biggest issue I see from it is people team stacked in Warzone who just farm kills. I would have also liked to see some other amours unlocked through commendations. Achilles amour is the only amour I see in Halo 5 and go "wow, that players has Achilles"

meh achilles is the cancer of halo 5 it doesn't requires as much skill as it requires time and it encourages things like farming kills in warzone where you and your team intentionally ignore bosses and AI only to trap the enemy team in their main spawn and farm the max amount of kills per game

I played a game of Halo 3 Classic Throwback in Halo 5’s social arenas, and we played Capture The Flag on their remake of The Pit. Me and my group went crazy on Halo 5. We would save up 100s of thousands of req points trying to get the Achilles set from gold packs. We didn’t know you have to make a Spartan group or whatever. We got at least 60k kills between just 3 of us. We would’ve met the criteria if we had known from the beginning. Now we came back 2 years later and found this out. All that work was for nothing cuz 98% of the armor in Halo 5 is trash

If your going solo and really need they helmet and you really hate team work, Get ready to waste a fraction of your life on the couch. By the time you get it (assuming it didn't came in your req pack), halo 6 would had came unless you go nonstop and fast. Tbh, I already enjoy having the EVA [C] helmet (aka Wrath) and mark VI armor. I rather keep the deathly smile face. Already enough work with reqs.

I found out. You look up Spartan company on Google and then you find the link that takes you to the area that you join. You activate a filter and search for the companies's name. Once you do that you click on the company and join. You have to be signed into your Xbox account on the website.
