I was planning to build a table, and my plan is very close to the table construction described in this video, including the wheels, so it was amazing to watch it. Since | have not build it yet, I'll use this video as guide. Thanks!

Great video, I'm making a computer station on wheels and was working out how to make it, your frame is perfect. Thanks

Edward Traxler Thanks Edward, I'm glad you found it easy to follow. I found it difficult to describe the steps throughout the video without making it more confusing! I ended up cutting a fair bit out of the video to avoid confusion!Cheers, Luke.

Understand completely. I am fairly good on using Sketchup and associated programs to create 3D models. Trying to explain the process is quite difficult though.

Great tutorial Luke. I look forward to seeing you put the bench into action :) - Sim

BurtonOnHumber Cheers Sim, that's the main reason I built the workbench, I needed a large table to spread out on! I'm definitely looking forward to putting it to use, so many ideas!Cheers, Luke.

John Dilley Cheers John, it took a while to build but I think that was because I was trying to film it at the same time!

Great how to build a table. Scott

Scott Downey Thanks Scott, it's pretty basic but it's super easy to build and it's quite strong. I can stand on it and it holds up well! I didn't film myself standing on it just in case I came crashing down!Cheers, Luke.

Have you considered using pocket hole screws? They make a much sturdier joint than driving screws directly into an end grain, require fewer screws and often no glue is needed for the joints. Kreg is one brand and is available in Australia as well as the US. As always, another great video!

Hi Luke,nice bench ya got there, If had a garage this would be an ideal project,luckily my wife Joanne lets me use the dinning table. PS: Do you live in Sydney? I would love to find a train mate to run some trains with on my out door railway. Jon.
@BoulderCreekRailroad9 жыл бұрын
Jon Blakeney Hi Jon, I'm living in Adelaide at the moment. If I'm ever in Sydney for any length of time I'll let you know and we could organise something. I'm pretty messy, even when I'm trying to be tidy I'll find a blob of glue somewhere it shouldn't be! So for me the dinning room table is out of bounds. Cheers, Luke.

Who actually uses MM as a measurement ? like why?? i got to that and stopped the vid ill just do it on my own lol
@BoulderCreekRailroad5 жыл бұрын
Lol... I'm gonna guess you're either from the US or you've got no experience in building or construction 😄 working in mm is pretty much the standard units for carpentry, it's more accurate, easier and people make less mistakes when using the metric system.... one day you'll see 😉
@Purplebottom Жыл бұрын
like, every country outside of the USA. Math must be hard for you? The conversions is easy. BTW, metric is so much easier.
