I love that feeling of catching the unknown but also knowing there could be that big fish could be just around the corner. Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching. 🙂

Those schoolies saved the blank for you mate. I didn't catch anything on the beach at Shoreham Sunday night.

Well done some fish at last let's hope your dour spell is over and we can look forward to some more action from you. The microphone has improved the sound, what one is it and what are you using to film the vids now. Wind is the worst and has ruined many of my vids in the past. I use a GoPro and have laid fibres from a carpet over the microphone slots and taped then loosely with insulation tape. Let's the sound in but keeps the wind out most of the time.

Cheers Lee the last week or so I've noticed just so much more life in rock pools and just on general around the port. It's felt like I've had such a poor start to the year struggling just to find any type of fish but hopefully it's all on the change now. Filming wise I have just upgraded my mobile to a Huawei mate 20 lite which has a dual camera and I am using an external mic with that fluffy wind breaker thing which just plugs into the headphone jack. I normally use my Go Pro for the more action stuff and keep it in the waterproof housing to try stop the wind but it cuts the sound out drastically. Saying that I'm having issues with my go pro at the mo. Sometimes it cuts out after about 10 seconds and stops recording and sometimes it works fine. I've tried resetting it a reformatting the memory card which fixed it for a while but now it's cutting out again. Carpet fibers sounds like a good little tip to cut out the wind.

Fishing_bug I've got a GoPro 5 which is waterproof without a case but I've had issues with it cutting out after about 10seconds too. Also some of my clips on play back had no sound at all. I looked into it and managed solve the problem. I don't know what version yours is but this worked for me 100%. Instead of using the instant record button on the top of the GoPro where you just press it once and it starts recording, I now use the button on the side which beeps three times then loads up all the settings before displaying it in the screen then goes into stand by mode. Then I press the button on the top to start recording. It seems that just pressing the button on the top which does all the above at once seems to confuse it and it's a bit hit and miss. I've never had the problems since I changed the the new method.

@@leefishersallwaysfishing cheers for the advice. Mine is the hero plus lcd so what I might do is try playing my first video through the lcd touch screen options and then go back and try using the usual way. Hopefully that might solve it. Thanks again tight lines

Well done bud! Is shoreham beach good for garfish?
@Fishingbug5 жыл бұрын
Yes it can be, from about August time they tend to increase in numbers. I've had them along the whole stretch of the beach but there seems be a few more in towards the arm.

The mic improves the video, we can hear you now and not so much of the wind.

It's crazy how the slightest bit of wind causes so much interference. I will keep on using it. Thanks for watching.

What mic you using mate ? Is it on a clip on ?

Yeah just a clip on one that goes into the head phone jack of my phone it came with a few wind muff things. Think I paid about £8 on amazon.
