So basically what happened is the white pony is princess of the sun (Celestia) and the blue on is princess of the moon (Luna). Luna grew jealous because Celestia was getting the attention and ponies slept in the night and played in the day. Celestia was sort of neglecting her, so one night she refused to lower the moon (her magical duty) and turned into this evil form, Nightmare moon. They started to battle although Celestia was trying to change her back. Eventually, Celestia was forced to imprison her in the moon for one thousand years using the power of the elements of harmony, those gems at the end. She's singing to Luna as she lowers the moon and rises the sun because she is putting her to sleep.

Luna wasn’t reborn in the moon, what the last scene was that you were confused about was it showing that Celestial always tucked her in but at the last part 7:45 it shows that Luna is gone. Through the window you see that Celestial is there, if it was on the moon you would just see Earth, not Celesta.

her power was "reset". I think Celestia had pink hair back then cause she was not as powerful as she was with colourful hair. The elements gave her a boost of magic and changed her hair colour. It goes pink or stops moving when she does not have any magic. Same with Luna's. Her magic "reset" in Season 1 to the hair before Nightmare Moon. Now it only stops moving. Luna was not reborn.

The singing sister basically raises the sun, and the dark sister raises the moon. The dark sister a.k.a. Luna, that's her name, was never appreciated. She had a dark side inside of her and every time she got angry it slowly took over her. Finally when it fully took over her, her sister and her got into a fight. Luna's sister, a.k.a. Celestia, was forced to lock her on the moon so she couldn't hurt anybody. Celestia is older than Luna so the baby part is her taking care of her until she was locked away on the moon. Hello ACG. I hope I can clear things up a bit for you. The pink haired princess is Celestia, the elder of the Two Sisters. Her sister is Luna. Celestia raises and lowers the Sun daily, and Luna's job is to do the same with the Moon at night. Celestia received all the praise and adoration of her subjects, but those same ponies shunned and slept through Luna's lovely Night. So, Luna became bitter and resentful of her sister's growing adoration by the ponies of Equestria, and eventually 'gave in' to her anger and became a wicked mare known as Nightmare Moon. Celestia was forced to use the Elements of Harmony upon her changed sister to save her subjects from eternal night. But, in doing so, she broke her heart at banishing Luna / Nightmare Moon to the moon for a thousand years. The scenes that confused you were of Celestia remembering her caring for her younger sister (tucking her in as she slept through the day), both as a tiny filly, and later as a more mature young mare. And finally, the scene with the empty bed, and 'tia framed in the window singing her Lullaby to her sister in the moon. If you ever decide to do so, I would suggest you watch at least the first three seasons of MLP to get the basics of all this and more. Season Seven has just begun, so you have plenty to check out and appreciate before you 'catch up' to the rest of us. I think you'll find yourself liking the series, since it has good stories, well fleshed out characters, AND wonderfully well written and sung songs. enough from me, the Frank Pony

@@subboisss67 I forgot to mention that the mis-use of the Elements (which rightfully should have both Sisters together) to 'harm' one of the pair is what 'marked' Celestia forever with the 'rainbow' hair. By misusing the Elements, Celestia lost the ability to wield them at all, and they became 'lost' to ponydom. It would be a thousand years before Twilight meets her friends (made possible by Celestia knowing the perfect friends awaiting Twilight in Ponyville) and become, together, the new wielders of the Elements of Harmony to protect Equestria. But oh, the cost to Celestia.. A thousand years of ruling alone, facing all challenges by herself, and shouldering the duties of raising and lowering both Sun and Moon. It says so much about Her and her gathered store of wisdom over such a long period, that one can easily see why She would know just what to do, and do it in a way that no pony ever realized that She was behind it all.

@@subboisss67 I would guess that Luna's hair didn't 'float' like Celestia's because of her transformation from NIghtmare Moon back into her normal form of Luna. For a short time her magic would have been somewhat depleted. By Season 2, episode 4 when we see Luna again, her hair is indeed floating like Celestia's again. Denoting her recovery to her full Alicorn might and majesty. On top of all this, in the final episode of the series, Season 9, episode 26, in one of the 'flashback' scenes, Celestia and Luna have merged their crowns and given their power over Sun and Moon to Twilight during her crowning as the new ruler of Equestria, and yet their hair still moves. The ARE still Alicorns, and both experienced and powerful, but no longer control the celestial bodies. Note that Twilight's hair has yet to acquire that floating feature even though she wears the crown. Sometime after her crowning, as she ages and matures into her full Alicorn might, her hair must have acquired that 'trait' of mature Alicorns. This would be sometime in the 10+ year leap between episode 24 and 25, and the final episode 26. During the epic battle with Tirek, Twilight was carrying the full magical power of FOUR Alicorns. As for sheer power making one's hair move... not likely... note that Star Swirl's hair never moved, and he was the most powerful Unicorn to ever exist in Equestria. Note this is just my opinion, but I'd like to think an educated one, at least.

Okay so the singer is Celestia. Her younger sister is luna. They control the sun and the moon in their kingdom. Luna became her evil self, nightmare moon, and tried to bring eternal night because she felt no one loved the night she worked so hard to make every night. Celestia defeated her with the elements of harmony (the purple star and other gems you saw) and that banished her to the moon. Luna stayed there for 1000 years. BTW she did not become any younger. Since she is an alicorn she is immortal and actually returns 1000 years later. There ​you go! Boom! Like a boss!

The ending was that the sister singing banished the other sister to the moon because since the younger sister was in the shadows for most of her life, she got angrier and angrier until one day the anger took control of her and she became nightmare moon, the older sister and nightmare moon fought, but the older sister was losing so she used the elements of harmony (that purple star) and used it to banish the other sister to the moon. if that was confusing then, sorry.

Her little sister (Luna) got banished to the Moon for 1000 years, and the older sister (Celestia) was singing a lullaby for her. (Below is what I remember being True to the show? I hope I didn't get my information wrong or mixed up.. I tried my best..) Luna was tasked with raising the Moon, and Celesta was tasked with raising the sun. Luna began to grow tired and angry about how beloved her sister was and how they were all awake during "her sister's day", but they all slept through her own beautiful night. Luna was "consumed by darkness" when she turned into "Nightmare Moon" and wished to make her night last forever so everyone could finally see her beautiful night. Of course, Celestia didn't want this, and it caused the two of them to fight. Nightmare Moon only wanted the night to last forever, and didn't think about anyone else, while Celestia knew it would throw off the balance, and didn't want that. So (as I had said at the beginning) Celesta made a decision to banish her sister to the moon.

It is probably a little late to tell you this, but this is a my Little pony fan video. It tells the backstory of the events of the pilot. Celestia the princess of the sun, and Luna the princess of the moon ruled together(they actually controller the movement of those celestial bodies) but Luna grew jealous that everybody loved Celestias day but just slept through her night. She turned into the evil being nightmare moon and tryed to make an eternal night. She was stopped by Celestia and banished to the moon for 1000 years. The first episode of friendship is magic takes place on the eve of the thousandth anniversary of these events

The pony with the green, blue, and pink mane is Celestia, the princess of the sun. The pony with the blue mane is Luna, princess of the moon. A long time ago, Luna was jealous of the fact that ponies loved her older sister more. The Darkness engulfed her and she became nightmare moon. During their fight, when it was apparent that celestia was going to lose, Celestia used her last resort, the Elements of Harmony. Using them, she banished Luna to the moon for a thousand moons. the part with baby luna and the bed was memories. If you look in the window during all three scenes it pretty much explains it.

In the end where she (the blue one) is little is merely a flashback of her life, we see her grow up until present day when she is no longer there because she is imprisoned in the moon

The end was that Celestia was remembering singing a lullaby for her sister (Luna) every night ever since she was a baby and tucking her in at night. Now that that she's not there, she still sings the lullaby but can't tuck her in until she gets to be with her again.

Celestia and her fought, but soon Nightmare Moon took her down. Celestia used the Elements of Harmony (the jewels) to defeat her and send her to the moon for millennia.

the bedtime scene is telling of the big sister puting her little sister to bed for all the years of her growth as a filly, a young mare and the final image showes the now empty bed with her little sister missing and big sis left to grieve as she is doing in the song now. its essentialy a scene designed to communicate quickly that celestia spent her adulthood looking after her small sister but lost her in the end. the white alicorn controls mostly the sun and the blue one mostly the moon. Its a cool vid.

Ok so, Celestia (the one singing) is the ruler of a kingdom. She said she was the best out of every pony. Her sister (Luna) got jealous because no pony was awake to enjoy her moon (or her duty). Soon Celestia noticed that her sister was sad and then tried to cheer her up. Luna was fed up with her sister so she turned into Nightmare Moon. Celestia and Nightmare Moon fought. Then Celestia got the Elements of Harmony and banished her sister to the moon for a thousand years (don't worry, alicorns {their species} live a long time). In this song, Celestia is saying sorry for punishing her sister for something she did. Celestia has been feeling guilty for it for a long time. This is why she is sad and says "all these miles away". Luna did not die. I hope this clears everything up. 🐎☀ ❤ 🐎🌜 🐎🌜 😠 🐎☀ {P.S. That's part where you were confused, it is a flashback of Celestia tucking Luna into bed.
