That part where she said that it's not about MLP it actually is... It's about the background stories of the lives of the two princess sisters. Princess Celestia who raises the sun and Princess Luna who raises the moon. Luna gets jealous of the ponies in Equestria that sleep during her beautiful night that she refuses to lower the moon one night and that's when they begin the family feud basically. It's a really deep story about emotions and family as well as the importance of both day and night, light and dark & good and bad.

Not good and bad, day and night have nothing to do with good and bad, it was about the importance of day and night and it's balance in the world, but not good and bad, that's not the same, and bad still doesn't improve or attributes nothing, not like night, and not like good, Luna wasn't evil at first, she didn't started as evil just because of being princess of the night, she literally raised the moon and the moon isn't evil, that wasn't evil and didn't make make her evil on itself, it wasn't about good and evil, she let herself get consumed by wrong and bad emotions then and she let them contol her, but that's a choice that one can avoid, say that to the people that get tortured everyday, to the psycopaths, no, evil is no balance, evil causes and searches the opposite of balance, that's why good always has to fight it to restore what's good, since good is what brings harmony and peace, and to believe otherwise is dangerous and that's why we are in the state that we are nowadays and our horrifying past that still haunts us to this day. Also people sleep through the night, diurn creatures sleep through the night, the majority of creatures sleep through the night and awaken and live through the day when the sun rises, it's normal

I really enjoy watching people not involved with the fandom to watch some of the really cool stuff the fans have created. Because even if they don't know about it, they still can enjoy it. Love the reaction dude. And I can only wish that you can react to some of the other cool stuff the fandom has created, like Children of the Night or even some of the more funny random part like How Applejack Won The War or Princess Clestia Being Deep. The basic story of this (gorgeous, holy crap it STILL surprises me and I've watched it many times) animation was actually in MLP itself, as a prologue kind of thing in the first episode. It was told in a simple storybook format, similar to the one that's used in the "she smiled and said 'surely there is no pony so lovely and so well beloved as I'" etc verse here. It was certainly not told in as much detail as here, or with as much emotional weight to it. Since this animation was planned out and the animatic was released, an episode of the real show came out that showed a peek into the moment Celestia banished Nightmare Moon, and the amount of parallels to this are astonishing. They did the fight scene pretty much the same. (I haven't heard any confirmation of whether or not they saw LFaP before beginning production on that episode, mind you. I guess it's possible they might have. But I think people on the show staff have said previously that most of the time they try to not be too influenced by fanfics etc.) But yeah god this song is amazing the visuals are amazing and the story is told so well. It took like 2 and a half years to come out but damn was it worth it.

I presume the girl has got some of Princess Celestia's magic, because her hair seems to be magically floating as well ;J 08:00 This "epic tale" is based on an animated TV show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" (not to confuse with previous generations of "My Little Pony" from the '90s). The story of the two princesses is a backstory told in the introduction to the very first episode of the series, which starts 1000 years after the events from this video, when Nightmare Moon (the dark pony) is about to return from her imprisonment in the Moon, according to some old prophecies. Twilight Sparkle, a young female Unicorn pony who is a magic student under Princess Celestia (the white pony), discovers the prophecy during her studies and tries to stop Nightmare Moon from returning and bringing about eternal night. In order to do that, she needs to find the Elements of Harmony - the ancient relics which have a strong magical power (the same Princess Celestia used to imprison Nightmare Moon in the Moon). If you liked this animation and the story behind it, I guess you might as well try to watch some "MLP:FiM" as well and see if you will like it too. It's always worth to try something new ;) (that's how I became a fan of this show).

I got so excited when I saw you where reacting to this. Lullaby for a princess is honestly one of my favorite animated short films as well as children of the night. To me the story of Luna and celestia is so powerful and I honestly think that the short film version of the fight between the two sisters was better portrayed in the short film than when they showed the actual fight in the actual episode. But that is just my opinion. The two ponies are celestia and Luna from mlp, this is their backstory, Luna tried to over throw celestia and was banished to the moon with the elements of harmony, the "starfish" was the element of magic which threw magic through Celestia's mane and tail changing their color, and pushed Luna into the moon. So Luna was locked away inside the moon for a thousand winters, before she came back in the first episode of mlp.

Ok, so this story is actually from a TV show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. The story is that the allicorn with the pink hair (at the beggining, later her hair changes colors after she uses the jewels you saw, called the elements of harmony) was more of the "grand" pony, that more of Canterlot (their kingdom) loved. Nobody ever really recognized Luna, or he purple pony you saw throughout the video. They both had one very important job; Celestia's was to rise the sun every morning, and to set it every evening. Luna's was the same thing, except with the moon. She eventually wanted to be adored, refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn, and Luna became so infuriated that she turned into what you later saw, the purple pony wearing the light blue armour. After Luna turned evil, she was known as Nightmare Moon. She wanted revenge, so she went after Celestia. They began to fight, and Celestia began to lose. She used the Elements of Harmony to banish Nightmare Moon to the moon for a thousand years. That's why you heard her say, "May these thousand winters, swiftly pass I pray."

This video was actually the story of how Princess Celestia had to banish her sister Princess Luna to the moon in My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic. The backstory is that Luna and Celestia were the rulers of the land and Celestia raised the sun whereas Luna lowered the moon and stars. Right there... That is my preferred way of doing a reaction video. The vast majority of the reaction vids I see have the person, who is watching the vid, gab on and on and on incessantly until the vid is over and then they tell you all over again what their thoughts were just as if we watched this whole ordeal with the mute button pressed... I assumed just she just slept, there is no canon indication that Luna herself was even conscious or self-aware during her banishment. Nightmare Moon, however, was conscious during the banishment.

I hope someone has told you guys the story during these two years since you watched it xD The story of the two sister princesses of day and night ruling beside each other. However, Luna (princess of the night) did not get the same appreciation as Celestia (princess of the sun), ponies would bask and play in the glorious sunlight, but hide away and sleep in her beautiful night. As time passed, darkness took hold of Luna's mind and she became something dark and powerful, with a new goal. Here she also gained a new name. She refused to lower the moon, and would have about eternal night. At the end, Celestia was forced to banish her own sister to the moon for a thousand years. Since then, people celebrated the Raising of the Sun, celebrated the banishment of Nightmare Moon And Celestia was the main attraction of the celebration My Little Pony is surprisingly deep tbh, btw, sry for large comment, I just love telling this story Cx

I know I'm late on this but let me explain: This animation was about 2 immortal sister princesses. Celestia and Luna. This is the origin story of mlp. Celestia and Luna rule over Equestria together. Celestia represents the Sun and Luna represents the moon. Luna got jealous over Celestia because Celestia was older and was more popular. Thus, Luna was taken over by bitterness and her evil side called "Nightmare Moon" tookover. That action scene was Celestia and Nightmare Moon fighting. The eclipse in the background represents the Moon covering the Sun. Meaning Nightmare Moon was trying to kill Celestia and take over. Celestia was then knocked out of the sky and the gem thing she made float is the elements of harmony. It baquised Luna/Nightmare Moon to the Moon for a thousand years. (Also Celestia has an evil side called Daybreaker but it never comes out in the series we only see her in a dream really)

this is really unexpected but is good to see ya reaction. Is really hard to deny that is a good animation as it took the creator 3 YEARS. i have never seen someone would be so passionate about his or her work. at the end of the day,the hard work paid off to a beautiful made animation. though I can see bunch of haters will be hating it but i do hope they can enjoy the art of the animation, not all because it is a pony animation. All in all, that is a great animation and hope everyone have a nice day today.

I'm glad you two enjoyed it. MLP has always tried to combine something family-acceptable while still providing themes that are extremely compitent. In this case, the sisters have always had a rocky relationship. Episode one began with the princess of the moon coming back from the thousand years of banishment in the moon and having her dark essene stripped away by the same elemental stones that banished her. Through the show she atones for how she had acted until we reach season 5. Do Princess' Dream of Sleeping Sheep told the tale of the Princess having created this ball of evil to torment her in her dreams. When it escapes into others' dreams, she must bring everyone into her dream to help fight it off before it gathers enough strength to reach the real world. She begins crying in despair as she sees it begin leaving, fearing that her actions in creating this Tanibus would lead to more evil. She feels utterly crushed, admitting to the protagonists that she created the Tanibus so that she would never forgive herself for the pain she caused when she was evil. Only through the support of her friends could she accept that they no longer held any ill feelings towards her. This is just one example of continuity of the show leading to some incredible acts. Ryan, I totally recommend you bring her back and react to "Do Princess' Dream of Sleeping Sheep" or "Pinkie Pride", both episodes that show great complexity within the show's writing.
