I really like this reply to "Lullaby for a Princess" by Luna. The best one I've seen here. The voices in each one are very symbolic of their characters. While Celestia's voice is full and deeper/clearer of a more mature mare of her age, and Luna's voice so sweet and light/slightly breaking of a younger mare. Someone should do an animation of this one as well!

In the cartoon Luna has deeper or rougher voice than Celestia, who has calm and soft voice. It always made sense to me, since Celestia is the embodiment of sun and is portrayed as strong yet kind and calm, whilst Luna is the sybol of night, moon and darkness (not nessesarily in a bad way), she works alone, when everybody sleeps and even though she visits other ponies' dreams and comforts them, is and always was more quiet and colder. It was very well showed in the episode where Starlight in attempt to help Luna and Celestia with their "friendship problem" switched their cutie marks. Luna couldn't keep up with smiling and making representative apperiances at different occasions.

The reason why I like this one is because it’s like Nightmare Moon’s inner voice, her real voice, desperately calling out for her sister and trying to apologize for what she’s done. During this one she mentions the pain that she was in for being ignored but unlike Nightmare Moon’s version, this one shows how she is guilty. NM’s tells about how she is not guilty and what she did was right but in this one she knows what she did was wrong and accepts that. Both versions are beautiful and I love the meaning behind both.

The more complex the accessory, the harder it is to animate, and I imagine the princesses' hair is already a pain in the butt for the studio. As for the color choice, sparkly powder-blue paint probably lasts longer or maybe just looks better than silver paint.

Technically speaking, normal stars are just balls of exploding gas. The Moon is Earth's natural satellite and the Sun is the biggest star in our galaxy. Celestia has the power to move the Sun (which is indeed a star, but much bigger and much more "powerful" than the Moon), a star with its OWN LIGHT, and Luna has the power to move the Moon (ONLY tge Moon, tye stars are ALWAYS in the sky, but we can't see them at daytime because the Sunlight is too bright), which is a satellite with no light of its own, so Celestia is, magically and scientifically speaking, more powerful then Luna, therefore Luna can only move the Moon, while Celestia can move both. Sorry for my little rant. Btw, I wasn't flaming you, only explaining my headcanon :3
