So lovely to have you back Emma, it was such a treat to sit and crochet whilst watching your podcast this morning. I love the shawl and ooo those earrings are so cute! Jewellery making is another one of my hobbies so it would be great to fuse the two together! Looking forward to your next podcast. Take care, Helen x

Thank you Helen, I would like to do more jewellery making as I really enjoyed making the earrings. Do you do silver work or bead jewellery? I may look for a beginners book! Em 💕

Hi Emma, I've been watching your vlogs for a few months. I'm still not caught up but I'm getting there😊 I just had to tell you my hubby bought me your book for Christmas and I love it. Hubby watched 1 of your vlogs with me and he ordered the book the next day. I was so excited when I opened it. Decisions decisions on what to make 1st. I'm not the most confident crocheter but I do try to challenge myself. I did make the stylecraft Boho blanket in the summer with a bit of help from a friend and I'm quite proud of myself😊 I loved making it. I'm a lot more confident knitter. Looking forward to trying some of your patterns. You make some beautiful projects. so talented😊 I've just messaged you on Ravelry introducing myself. Stay safe xx

I agree. If you've never seen a plant or critter before and you're trying to identify it from a painting, or drawing, the smallest difference in color or shape can totally throw you off. It's much more accurate to identify from a picture.

I literally just wanted to comment on your previous podcast when can we kindly request a podcast, you have such a kind hearted effect on this hectic time. Thank you for bringing such a calm effect over a heavy 3rd wave that South Africa is experiencing. Laboratory life is getting hectic, again.

I’ve just read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue after watching your earlier podcast when you mentioned it being on your “to read” list. I enjoyed it very much so thanks for the recommendation 😊 Like you I’ve also re-read The Pursuit of Love and, I’ve also re-read Love in a Cold Climate (another wonderful book) and I’m currently reading The Blessing also by Nancy Mitford. I enjoy the interwar period and her writing style, with the subtle humour. Your shawl is lovely and I just might make one myself. I always look forward to your podcasts and long may they continue. 😀x
@Lululovescrochet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I do love Nancy Mitfords writing, although I’ve not read the Blessing so I will look out for that. Have you read ‘letters between sisters’? It shares the letters written over the years between the Mitford sisters - it’s such a good read. Em 💕
@maureenflitcroft84303 жыл бұрын
@@Lululovescrochet I haven’t read Letters between sisters, but I’ve just downloaded it from Amazon to my Kindle. Thanks for letting me know about it. I’ve also reserved Christmas Pudding by Nancy Mitford from my local library via the BorrowBox app. You might like to look out for this too. Too many books to read and not enough time 😂 Xx

If you are new to knitting it's best to start with the strippy top, it wil help with practicing and up your speed and it looks super easy and straight forward even if it's bigger and I suggest wooden needles, it's not as slippery 😃 the second thing I knitted was a sweater and it was so much easier than you would think🤗
@Lululovescrochet3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, yes I thought that when I looked at it, I think I need to practice the basic stitches before I try and move on 🤣 I’ll have a look for some wooden needles, thank you 💕
@thorablin3 жыл бұрын
@@Lululovescrochet no prob, love watching your channel, to practice just do washcloths in the stitches you want to learn😉🤗 works awesomely 🥳❤️

I do not understand rows 21-23 of the lacy headscarf - per the photos my work looks right after completing rows 8-11 2x (= 3 sets of rows 8-11). What am I missing - seems like there should be another row 8 if I am to work 1 tc into next 6 tc???

What weight yarn did you use for the Awana shawl and about how many yards or meters?
@Lululovescrochet3 жыл бұрын
I used Drops Nord which is a 4ply (50g =170m) I think I used about 4 balls xx
