Great review! I still use my 3mm reversible lululemon mat that I bought in 2016 and I recgonize all the pros and cons you mentioned. Mine isn't natural rubber - I don't believe they offered mats in rubber back then. I like mine but it isn't for every type of yoga. I primarily use it for seated and lying poses that don't require much cushioning.

Thanks! Yep...I think it is a great mat. And maybe it will be more durable and worth the extra money in the long run. Only time will tell!

Absolutely! There is always a trade off between cushion and weight.

Hello! I just bought this mat and notice when I am in possess like warrior one where my feet are applying a lot of pressure on an angle, the top layer like folds / bunches slightly around my foot? Could you please let me know if this also happens for you… I can’t tell if this is normal or not! Thanks so much and your video is awesome by the way

Ooh, that's an interesting question. I'm trying to imagine what that would be...that has not happened to me or my students that I know of. I don't think that is normal. Which mat are you using? ...sorry for the slow reply btw.

Excellent review! I use liforme but it's way too heavy to carry aaround. I'll check this but I want a 100% biodegradable natural mat ideally...

Thanks! I think there may be some versions of the Lululemon mat that might be 100% biodegradable...just not this particular one.
