The thing I love about these two is that while yes, they are both obsessed and kinda creepy, they aren’t unhealthy for each other(to an extent). Even though they stalk the other one they still have their own lives, it’s not just these two loving each other.

And they actually interact and seem to know eachother. While stalkers tend to latch onto a stranger they never actually interact with, and make a fake version of who that stranger could be, and a lot end up angry when their perception of the stranger ends up not being who they're actually stalking. So yes, they are more healthy for eachother. And I don't really see a large power imbalance since they're both obsessive.

Well... As far as ik, collecting materials and body residues (such as hair) from the person who you stalk, is certainly unhealthy. But still, they are the couple I envy a little.

From what I've seen so far, Ricci had a girlfriend when he started stalking Suzuki, but got found out by said girlfriend. I'm guessing that she tried to make him prove his love to her based on the dream community post, and they broke up, since she isn't present during the quick flashes of characters during the chibi chess scene, and Ricci is now struggling with having feelings for Suzuki, but not knowing why he's feeling them after he got a girlfriend. Edit: Thanks to Inky, I have now notices that Sarah is in the chibi chess scene, so now my working theory is that she found him out, but they're still together, most likely because Ricci wants to keep the 'popular cool guy' act up, but is most likely still struggling with his love for Suzuki, which just makes me question if he loves Sarah after getting to know Suzuki.

I think she actually found out about the stalking at 1:07 because of the disgusted look on her face. She still showed up in the chibi scene because that was before

Okay, analysis time! “Lum no Love Song” is a bit more about the backstory between these two. Ricci (the popular one) and Suzuki (the nerdy one) spent a lot of time playing chess together (this is how the mutual obsession formed between them). As they grew close, Ricci wanted to spend more time with him, and tried to exchange contact information with Suzuki. They began playing chess at Ricci’s house rather than at school. Ricci seemed surprised about Suzuki cornering him on the chess board (0:45). Considering the background, I believe Suzuki “danced his way” into Ricci’s heart and Ricci wasn’t expecting to fall for him (checkmate Ricci). I believe the black around them in the next scene represents how comfortable Ricci’s gotten with him. The darkness is representative of his fears, but also his truth. Ricci’s comfortable with giving Suzuki his truth. The “truth”, which they’re both aware of, is Suzuki holding the bag of his hair. The fantasy, what they both want (represented in pinks and other various colors), is Suzuki holding Ricci instead. Ricci is more hesitant than Suzuki (for obvious reasons), and thinks about how Sara would react if she knew he had Suzuki’s underwear. Suzuki gets along well with all of Ricci’s friends (I don’t know any of their names sadly). Ricci and Suzuki are now spending even more time together, with or without Ricci’s friends involved. The ending leads me to believe that their obsession has led them to be inseparable. Suzuki may not be aware of the mutual obsession yet, hence why they are facing away from each other, but they’re in too deep to go back now. I love the story so far! The way you incorporate symbolism into your story through colors and concepts is remarkable! I enjoy analyzing your content and I can’t wait to see more 🧡 Little things I noticed: At the beginning (0:06), Ricci is wearing an unusual tiger-print outfit. I believe this is symbolism for his predatory behavior toward Suzuki. At 0:10, it appears that this scene is once again in Ricci’s imagination. Suzuki appears to be stealing something from him. This could be anything from his heart, his attention, or something Ricci hasn’t noticed yet. I believe it’s left ambiguous on purpose. The black cat (0:31) may be symbolic of Suzuki’s bad luck. Another thing I’d like to take note of is how Suzuki and Ricci behave when more important people in their lives see them playing chess. Suzuki looks flustered when his friend interrupts (0:26), and I believe it’s because Suzuki doesn’t have many friends so his opinions are more important to him. As for Ricci, when Sara (his girlfriend) appears during their chess game (0:43), his reaction is similar. He doesn’t want her to find out about his obsession.

(not telling ya which ones tho EHEHEH) also side note- the tiger print outfit is Lum Invaders outfit! It's a callback to the original source material this song came from, its the urusei yatsura op!

@@HELLOSAILOR-i5l I realized I was one person with crippling adhd who consistently starts and never finishes projects exactly like that... and its near impossible to do on my own & also I cant write for shit LOL nuther fun fact; the original, like first ever conception at all was meant to be a oneshot doujin comic, then a visual novel, then I settled for short videos, which is something I actually *can* do! :)

OH MY GOD! I absolutely love this duo and love every part of their lovestory! The artstyle and music fits each other so perfectly, so I see a bit of old CD, warm and calming atmosphere(even if there's a bit sad moments and unusual way of relationship). The creator and those two boys are one of my favourite things on KZbin;) Can't wait to see more backstory and of course the continue of their relationship. Thank you for your videos^^

My love for unhealthy, abnormally obsessive love is out of this world. And these two bois woth their added hint of cuteness to the fucked-up couldn't be more perfect. I'm so borderline obsessed. 🤠 I wish for much darker contents between these two sickos, but I am so so so hooked nontheless. P.S. I fell like the woman who shows up with them 0:15, 0:54, 1:07 is probably related by blood to one of these guy. Because neither is jealous or anything of the like when she shows up close to them. Even more when she interrupts the game, darker guy is panicking like his crushes mum walked in when he was about to make a move. In the end she knows something

The red girl is also very interesting, especially since Mr popular blushed when seeing her and close to the end we see her again looking weirded out/ concerned . I can't tell if she was toxic and did something to Mr popular, but he can't let her go because he still loves her in a way or if she is just a normal girl who found out Mr popular's true colors and thinks he is creepy! Because honestly at first I thought she was the cause of his crazyness because of the previous video making it seem like she hurt him a lot !
