Great video. I developed a synovial cyst in L4 facet joint, had surgically removed. I still have the arthritis but exercise and weight training helps a lot.

sir, this was amazingly explained. thank you so much. God bless you 🤩. I was doing Aerial yoga & I was pushed to do an extended back bending where now I have facets issue in last few bones of spine. yoga stopped since then its been 2 weeks now. I need your advise, lying down relives the pain, standing increases the pain but sitting for office work more than 1hour makes the pain worse. is bed rest suggested if yes for how long and can we do walking if yes how much time are we allowed simple slow walking per day. does vitamin & calcium supplements help in this case ? will i ever be able to start Yoga again?
@PerformanceSportSpine8 күн бұрын
Best rest is not helpful, the best advice is do the stretches and exercise at a dosage your body can handle with gradual progression. Supplements for this are a waste of money as for if you can ever get back to yoga, we can't answer that

@PerformanceSportSpine thank you very much for quick response. are heat pad Or cold pad advisable? Does pain relief gel n pain killers tablets support in healing or they are temporary. Once exactly following all stretches n sleeping position guided in video how long does it take to recover.

I'm still not sure if my problem is facet related... if I do bending forward exercises OR bending backwards, I will get a bad back spasm the next day. MRI shows mild arthritis of facets and a very mild disc protrusion.

It can be hard to tell. Often isometric back exercises are a good place to start. Check out this video for some good options. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJbLnWWKqcSIh80si=6fUUDmJ4N6hNsVYu

Many of those movements are similar to the motions of cycling. Is riding a bicycle helpful for strengthening and stretching those muscles?

Yes, absolutely. We actually meant to put that in the video and somehow wasn't. Great connection!

With me , I have a pain in the equana Area , When I stand or move around it becomes Extremely painful . The more I move around the more Intense the pain and the Longer it takes for the Pain to subside. I have had x-rays/MRI/CT scans which do show I do have some facet joint damage ... But I can't get a reasonable Diagnoses or what to exactly tell my Docs ...

Back pain can be frustrating and complex. In certain cases it becomes more about prognosis, than diagnosis. In the sense of focusing on what helps and trying to look forward and focus on things that help, rather than backwards trying to understand the specific origin of pain

Good Luck trying to pinpoint where all your pain is coming from . Even the most qualified doctors will just scratch their head 🤣
