I'm trying to find videos that best explains the pain I've been going through. Its located on the shoulder blade on the very corner on the back not the actual shoulder. I recently injured myself lifting a 30 pack of water. I was in severe pain for 2 days and have been seeing doctors and taking meds to manage the pain since then. I've seen 3 doctors and finally got a referral for an orthopedic. They suspect it's torn tendon but I don't think it's on the shoulder. I feel like it's literally on the rhumboid muscle. Either way I'm in extreme pain and at the end of the day it's unbearable and I don't get much sleep.

So my last 18 months has been bad. Sudden onset of hip pain that seemed to be triggered after I started to stretch hip stiffness for better Jiu Jitsu performance (50 year old active male at that time was jogging and doing burpee workouts and Jiu Jitsu). I had a particularly aggressive approach. I did a forced couch stretch and felt something give/tear in my front of hip upper thigh area. At work walking up the ramp to get on offshore platforms became painful. Time off. Physio - referred to - MRI scan - revealed hip arthritis in left hip. Recommend eventual hip replacement. During a consultation for plasma injection therapy surgeon revealed the reason for my problem was hip dysplasia! I’m not going down surgical route. I have symptoms of hip bursitis/piriformis syndrome (ache and tightness across glute med area towards QL ) and IT band issues pulling below outside of left knee. When I do Psoas release exercises 90% of walking pain goes away for a while before everything tightens up again. I am going to do your suggestions for glute tendinopathy and hip dysplasia. I’ll let you know how it goes. Subbed!

I had a distal tendon repair surgery with 4.5 cm of retraction. The surgeon said it was almost stuck. When the tendon was reattached the arm was at a 90 due to the issues of freeing the tendon. Now I am having very sharp shoulder pain more so in the front. Your thoughts if you have time.

You are using your back to arch (extending) rather than just your shoulder. Try an easier version, reducing your range of motion or do some shoulder mobility prior to these

Hi, I have hip dysplasia in both hips but it is more severe in the right one as well as the right leg is shorter and I also have 48.1* scoliosis... It is getting harder and harder everyday. I have 3 kids so I cannot have the surgery now. I really hope these exercises will help to manage the pain because I have started to avoid walking with my kids. I am 34 years old and find it very early for the surgery as well as cortisone injections. Please advise! Thank you!

Hi, sorry to hear you are dealing with this. Is your scoliosis progressing? Do you know how big the leg length difference is? As for recommendation, we have had great success helping people with these issues with our online sessions, giving them a tailored rehab program to match their current needs. In terms of symptoms, I think I felt some mild, brief tightness in that exact area of my ankle when running easy for about a mile 2 weeks ago so I’m not running fearing I’ll make it worse. But 2-days later felt mild pain - very briefly- in the INNER arch. I’m being treated by a PTxist for Plantar fasciitis. ( I just sent you another message about this but now I’m curious about something: Isn’t likely that my Plantar Fasciitis began with PTT? *And wouldn’t the exercises you’re showing be appropriate for someone with Plantar Fasciitis?
@PerformanceSportSpine6 күн бұрын
The number one cause of any injury is a previous injury. So, if you had PTTD prior to the plantar fasciitis, then yes. Assuming they have diagnosis you correctly. As for the exercises, the answer is probably yes, but can't say for certain without a personal assessment

Tough to tell if it's tear or tendinitis for me

It can be, as long as there isn't a major/full tear, there is a fair amount of overlap with the rehab. So you should find progress either way

Three weeks ago, I started a job that causes me to take between 25,000 to 30,000 steps per day. Oh how I wish I could get the breaks or gotten the chance to gradually increase into this role. Are there any recommendations for someone who hit the ground running and need for their feet to adapt quickly??

I've had low back pain for many years but it got bad enough to go to a doctor about 2 years ago. I've been diagnosed with several things but generally spinal stenosis and facet joint issues. I had RFA last year but I can't say it helped much. I still find it hard to stand or walk for extended periods. I thought I possibly also had SI pain on my left side due to my desk job but I've also been told that can be originating elsewhere. That's the pain that sent me to the doctor. Can that also be facet-related? PT had me bending backwards and that was painful so now I concentrate on bending forward. It's been a real journey trying to pinpoint the exact issue and how to fix it.
@PerformanceSportSpine8 күн бұрын
Sorry to hear you have been dealing with this for so long. Yes it could, there is some crossover between the conditions. Both of which, don't like extension. Hope this video helps, here is another video on lumbar stenosis we made. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKCWZ2uHYtSqla8si=7x5imO9gN5e6jvgo

What about for golfers? Right now, I have a sore back big time, seven days, from hitting a golf ball slightly different way. I’m trying to alter my swing. Does any of this relate to what happened to me?
@PerformanceSportSpine10 күн бұрын
If you tried hitting a golf ball differently for 7 straight days, this is a simple case of an overuse injury. Let is calm down, then start again and make sure to rest 1 day between hitting, to let your back recovery/adapt. The golf swing can defnitely irriate the facet joints

Got a surgery on my back last month and was only sleeping on my shoulders while recovering. I put my arms overhead while sleeping so I think that’s what made me have this condition. But didn’t realise it at the time. I stretched a lot to relieve the pain and the next three days were so tough. I let my shoulder rest for a week now it’s manageable but still uncomfortable to do day to day things like working on my laptop. Will follow these exercises and see if that works. Thank you!
