I just bought the Lume Cube as a second light for my streaming setup (also have the Key Light Air from Elgato). Honestly, I'd buy two Lume Cubes over two Elgato Airs because I cannot stand the hassle of adjusting the brightness on the Key Light Air. I don't have WiFi near my setup, so I have to unplug and carry the light to an area of my house with WiFi just to change the brightness. And, as you mentioned, the stand has an enormous foot print. As far as the lighting, I bounce both off the walls behind my monitors and have plenty of light that doesn't bother my eyes, and the Lume Cube is very versatile thanks to the pivots. My only complaint about the Lume Cube is the soft touch buttons accidentally get pressed when positioning the light. Just my two cents. Thanks for your review! :)

Good info...I love my Key Light Air, but Elgato app is definitely annoying!!! I just bought for my second light, the lume desk edge. I plan to use it as a softer dim light to kind of bounce off me from a distant angle. I feel it will definitely depend on someone's usage whether to get the Key Light or Lume (or even the overpriced key light)...I figured I get the best of both worlds! I am going to honestly enjoy the flexibility and not having to rely on wi-fi for lighting!

Elgato app is absolute trash. I believe the key light, key light air, and ring light light, all use 2.4 Ghz WIFI connection to connect. Nobody uses 2.4 anymore and it results in no connectivity or poor connectivity. Literally every time I used my ring light, it would not connect to my iMac or phone app. I got rid of the Elgato ring light and go the Edge Light. So much better. I love the swivel design too.
