At the beginning, the Studio Light Tool seemed to me a bit unwieldy... but as your video progressed it all made sense... now it's one of my favorite tools (I use it especially in my B&W pix). Thanks for sharing!

Wow. Studio light, the best tool in Luminar.. Using it together with other Portrait Tools ,no stripes, no textures , brush it on peoples skin it just gives amazing results. Hands down, Luminar is now the best program for People Photography.

CP - the other day I saw an amazing image. It was a female in basically a portrait shoulder shot. Her hair was lighted from behind creating very dramatic effect . Is it possible using NEO Studio Light to create that effect? Maybe using layers? Regardless if Studio Light can duplicate that effect it would it be one for the books!

Yes, you can definitely create preset with the Studio Light in it and then re-use it on other photos.

@@CleverPhotographer Hi, when using studio lighting, I find that only my subject is well lit, while the background remains same (no studio light on background) making the photo look artificial. How can I light both the subject and the background evenly to avoid this issue? Thank you!

Hi, Thanks for this review. I recently did the update to 1.13.0 but Studio Light somehow did not show up in the Portrait section nor anywhere else. Any suggestions or a link to someone at Luminar to get this corrected?

Honestly look at minute 1:35, the picture was beautiful, light was perfect, do you want to mess your images, have a mess intead of images, look other videos and think again, I like one control where you apply the shadow with stripes of lights but I was thinking, I won't be applying to all my images, no I won't, I don't think I will be applying this enough to think, I NEED IT. No, I don't need it, if you have photoshop you can do better or get the Affinity and make the painterly effects to find way much better effect in Affinity, this can be yours for around 70 the best you don't need to subscribe, it will be yours. So you can apply all your creativity and better effects.

Hey Jakub, I enjoyed your tutorial. However, I noticed that the lighting seems harsh on the model. How can I soften it? Also, the sliders seem to distort the model's face, and the adjustments don't affect the background, just the model. Any suggestions?

Hi Simon, there are different ways you can soften the light. Try the Amount, Depth and Smooth slider at first.
