Lumitop makes a conversation kit for the previous GT led’s to the 90. We did it and it was a great improvement. I had to make a pair of centering,flanged,washers that lined up the board and reflector locator to the housing. Perhaps mine was a very early unit to require this mod. It was worth the effort. Seems to be much wider with the same throw but doesn’t get hot as fast, so the temperature adjustment was extended. Like a hand held nite sun. With the smoke in the air from the California fires you can see the beam in the sky for miles lol

Slightly irritating that the sling attachment point isnt lined up with the button lol. Have you tried the 90 with short tube? I wonder if it performs with only 4 cells. Seems like it should. At least with the higher output sony cells.

Yes it will perform with 4 cells. Also with 1 cell as well. Batteries are in parallel.
