i got all the cameras right lol..i knew the middle camera was komodo because when i bought mine it had that "phasing" look just outside the focus that i like. I had the s1h before the komodo so i knew C was that camera and the look is so good! I may have to go back to that camera. Panasonic V Log is heaven to edit and color with

The image on the Panasonic full frames are nice only the c70 and r3 r5 can compete with its image as far as mirrorless goes . What makes the v log heaven to edit ?
@ILaxative2 жыл бұрын
@@creativegreats6924 hey there. I meant it in the since of V Gamut color space. I love how much I can pull from that color space. As far as the R5 the dynamic range is not as good. The c70 has the same sensor as my c300 mkiii and the dgo sensor has a better dynamic range in that regard than the R5 but canon loves to cripple.
@creativegreats69242 жыл бұрын
@@ILaxative you mean it crippled the r5 ? I'm looking at getting the R5c but I can get a Sh1 for way way cheaper and other than auto focus and 8k 60p in full frame, excellent stills ( which are features I love ) I get a better video camera all the way around the board if I go sh1 with all it has to offer within .The Sh1 I feel gives one more latitude in post but Im not sure .if not for the cheaper price I can get a Sh1 new, I would go canon r5c easy cause I need one of those but I also dnt have a computer to handle canon h.265 yet ..so that has to be factored in the price . Im using a MSI gs76 11th gen i9 , 32ram ,3070 Nvidia, 1tb laptop (resolve and Premiere ). I would have to use atomos prores with r5c till I upgrade computer .

Owning both the S1H and the Komodo, what do you feel offered better motion cadence and highlight rolloff? Thank you my friend.

Great video! Cameras nowadays don’t differ much in visual quality. I do see some models differ in features, but this is subjective to the overall use of the end user. All in all it creates a large school for creators to focus on being creative.

Thanks for the great episode, since those box models are becoming more and more popular in FPV world. Especially BS1H can be combine with a small cinelifter as QAV PRO.

IF you are someone that has a bunch of EF lenses there is a L mount to EF adapter with a VND built in. I use it for some of my cameras I shoot with and Love it.

Are you using the Fotodiox Visilex Fusion Throttle adapter? If so, how is it for controlling aperture, and communicating focal length to the camera? Does autofocus work at all?

Nice comparison! Is there a way to unlock/find 6K 5952 x 3968 (3:2) on BS1H? I couldn’t find it. Cheers
@pauleporterdp Жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Not that I’m aware of sorry
@TJA86 Жыл бұрын
6k 3:2 is only in 24fps, so you need to be in 60hz NTSC or 24hz cinema mode. if you're set up in 50hz you won't see it. Also in 60hz you can get to 30fps 5.9k 16:9 or 5.4k 3:2 with no sensor crop, unlike what the video shows.

What do you mean by the Red having a film look compared to the others? What makes it a film look?
@pauleporterdp2 жыл бұрын
The Komodo handles the highlights in the image extremely well which contributes to that look that film cameras had back in the day. Also the sensor has a unique noise texture which makes the image really nice
@filmdad242 жыл бұрын
@@pauleporterdp Hmmm If the others shoot raw, wouldn’t the highlights be pretty much the same if you tweak in post? Like… I’m thinking of film and the highlights don’t they get pretty washed out?? Lol maybe I’m dumb I’m just trying to justify the cost If I wanted to borrow my friend”s red, and shoot a blank image, I should be able to copy the pattern and replicate that with an algorithm.. or just record and copy that image and place it over top any footage to get a similar grading look.. I’m thinking of being creative because not that I won’t buy a Red, but is it requireeddd

Isn't the super35 mode with less visible rolling shutter? Think the limitations of this camera makes it more like a pretty decent super35 camera.
@pauleporterdp3 жыл бұрын
Yes In S35 it is less visible however since it’s a FF camera I only tested it in this mode. But yes you get better results in S35 mode
