This is a awesome video. Loved the shout out too. Love the editing and colours. Also great balanced arguament. Not sure why it only detects one eye and not the other...could it be because you are looking down?

I hope you see that I’ve been taking your comments seriously because I have the same opinion as yours when it comes to youtubers and youtube pushing those who just have good things to say about the brands they are representing. It’s a big marketing industry where we small channels can’t compete alone.. so your support helps and motivated me. Thanks! To your question about the eye tracking: I don’t know why but the camera can track both eyes and focuses only on one and he chooses randomly on which eye he wants to focus. On a test for instance the tracker jumped to the other eye as soon I covered it with my hand and focused perfectly the other eye without loosing focus ones. But in this test it didn’t work. So my conclusion is it’s not 100% reliable. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know on what it depends. I also thought during the test that maybe it’s because I’m looking down so I looked straight into the camera even went closer to it but it didn’t track.. I’m not an engineer at the end of the day it is what it is ✌️ overall I’m happy with it for now.

​@@kenslyderagain really appreciate you extensive testing. It makes great content and makes us more informed. For me now it's the high price tag. It is still high for a m43 camera given Sii with a kit lens is cheaper. Lumix always has this problem with pricing its m43. If they priced this at the same price as G9ii it would have garnered more sales. Also do you post on M43 Rumours - You need to get your video seen in these forums man!

Funny thing when I've shot with Lumix new autofocus system first time at cosplay event. There's some people cosplay as character with bunny or cat eat something like that. Human face detection is not working for no reason. But when i've changed to animal it's worked 😂😂😂

@@kenslyder Sometime everyone can experience disaster Human autofocus in front of event stage with BIG LED Screen behind. Camera will focus face on the Big screen instead of real human face. 😂😂😂

@@kenslyder imagine you want something in a shot but the camera can’t provide it. What do you do? Maybe the camera can provide it if you know more? Maybe you can do something externally to help the camera get the shot? Maybe the camera is giving you a color you don’t like? Maybe you’ve already tried to fix it in post and the results are not acceptable? Then you have an idea. You try it and get what you wanted. There are many stories like this. Whole movies about someone trying to get what they want. There’s no camera in the world that can deliver what a story teller wants. The push and pull of you against whatever technology you have will always be there. I hope you will let that tension inspire you to tell stories.

@@kenslyder Yes, but it works :) Nice keylight on the left side, A nice rembrandt triangle on the right side. A key light focused on your face with a darker background. The dark blue background gives a nice teal/orange look (it was maybe done in post)

@@sebastienblanchetiere1323 yes I tried the best to profit of the light coming from the windows. A key light from the right and fill light from the front window that was more far away.. :) I color graded to make the shadows appear teal and highlight’s orange… Glad that you liked it ☺️☺️☺️

Great video as always. What do you think about Dehancer for colors instead of buying a Fuji?

@@bladingtime I would go for Fuji for the accurate film look straight out of cam instead with Dehancer where you need to make a lot more extra steps to get close to the Fuji look. Just get a Fuji camera :) Maybe in a few years they nail their autofocus... Finger 🤞🏼 crossed

@@steveschnetzler5471 no it does track both eyes but it chooses to lock on whatever eye the camera likes the most 😄 but it can track both eyes he just focuses on one!

Does the GH7 have record button lag? I owned a GH6 and that was one of the most disappointing things about it. You hit record and the red frame would display, but it wouldn't actually start recording for a second or two. Actually kind of a big deal for slow motion wildlife.

Yes no camera is perfect, but i guess for me if the lumix s1h 2 comes out, i guess this acctually will be perfect camera, its gh7 but with fullframe sensor, and if autofocus not the best then just buying lidar focus, i think this lumix s1h 2 will kill sony and all other companies
