Please include more and more photo centric features in Lumix S series. There is complete dearth of knownledge on Lumix and flash photography. I started regretting investing into Lumix S5iix because I am unable to find good flash products for Lumix. The fact that you are not partnering with companies like Godox to produce triggers and flashes that support Lumix products indicate that you are not serious about photography features in Lumix products. But you position your products as hybrid cameras.

Auto-Iso does not work with flash with my gh6. What do I wrong. With my G9II it works well. I use an Olymus Flash (Fl-900-R).

Well 🙃 as a event photographer/videographer, in low light situation I'm kinda f****d to have to check each time for a shoot preview for my exposure... Also, I could see that my unit has the same problem as yours in low light, I could see a low shutter effect in the frame and it gives me nausea looking at the lcd/evf. Would be nice if there is another workaround or firmware that could fix that issue. The S5iix would be a more complete tool for photographers.

First, I want to say I really enjoy your videos. They are my primary source of information on this complicated subject. I understand the importance of hitting the Like button and urge others to do the same. I'm sorry I'm late responding to this video. I bought a new S5iix a few months ago and a few days ago I bought my first ever flash, the Godox TT685IIO. I am having the following issues: When I attach the flash (turned off) to the camera and turn on the camera its flash menu shows: Flash Mode: On or Off only. The other three selections are grayed out. I was blindly trying different settings and managed to turn on the red-eye correction, but can't figure out how I did it. Firing Mode: TTL. Manual is also available. When I turn on the flash its menu shows TTL, but the Firing Mode in the camera menu grays out. The Flash Mode still has On and Off only. When I press TCM on the flash to change from TTL to Manual the camera menu doesn't change. When I turn off the flash the Firing Mode in the camera menu changes from grayed out to TTL. I believe the flash is properly seating into the hot shoe. I turn the Nothing has been dropped and I can see no indication to the flash or the camera. In spite of these confusing menu options and changes the flash seems to be working well. I have taken several test shots around my house and many of them are acceptable. I can easily adjust the output of the flash to compensate for shots that are underexposed or overexposed. I didn't know whether to ask you for help or contact Godox. I defaulted to you because you obviously know a great deal about Lumix cameras and flashes, but I can turn to Godox Support if you think that would be better.

Thanks for the informative video. Do you know what kind of burst FPS the G9II can achieve with a flash in manual mode (assuming the flash has a lithium ion battery and can keep up at the power selected)? I'm trying to figure out if it would be fast enough to replace my EM1 II for my macro focus stacking work and can't seem to find this info anywhere.

I have purchased S5IIx and G9II and I am new to photography however I am interested in high-speed photography. please make some content for beginners like me who have purchased lumix camera's to how we can take these newer cameras and achieve high speed sync off camera flash /strobe photography.

I have an old Sunpak thyristor flash that (as several camera forums report) delivers 6.75 volts through the PC Sync cable. Can I use this without fear of damaging my G9 mark II camera? I connect using a simple hot shoe to pc sync adapter. Thanks.

Constant preview turning off is, at best, very obtuse. It should be a simple setting if we want to use flash as fill. "it's a good thing we don't allow you to change this" I'm curious if anyone could argue this.

I really wish I could find how to make the G9M2 fire a focus bracket QUICKLY with my V350(O) flash, much like the Olympus bodies do... As it stands my flash only fires once every 1-1.5 seconds. By then, the bug has moved on!

@ LUMIX LIVE are you shure that the stabilization issue is normal - stabilizing 12-35gen1 is a night and day difference between G9M2 and GH6, on GH6 it's easy to hold 1s+ at 35mm, on G9M2 much much less is shaky (stills), can't believe that this should be normal. Please could you check this again? Thank you very much.

Can somebody please help me? When I put my godox flashed on my lumix S2 Mark 2 It reads The flash button does not flash when I press the shutter button. I've been having this camera for about 1 year. So I don't think he's a loose screw on the hot shoe on the camera .. What settings do I need to change if I want to use my flash which is compatible to my camera?

You set the Rec Quality to a 1080p/FHD codec that says "S&Q available", turn the camera to S&Q (it won't allow you to select an unsupported codec if you do this first I think), and then change (using the quick menu or settings > video > image format > slow&quick) the slow multiplier to the highest possible one - which varies depending on what's the base framerate of the codec you're using. For example it's 12x for 1080p25, but it's 6x for 1080p50.

Wondering If there would be a way to pair the camera via bluetooth to a flash unit that has bluetooth as well like the Profito A2 for example. Profoto already leverage the bluetooth from the flash unit to sync with an iPhone with their app. Anyway I thought it would be nice to live in a world where we don't need the hot shoe controller unit to trigger a flash

I'm truly astounded at how bad your KZbin presentations are. In this 'Let's Talk about Flash," but due to questions you spent excess intro time talking about STABILIZATION...SD CARDS...MONOCHROME PROFILES...with repeated comments about 'we're talk about that later..." Have you ever heard of teachers making a 'lesson plan?", then they go to class and talk about a coherent, organized, informative, topic. Get help.
