Lumix S1R II As Soon As February?

lumix needs a z9 competitor. we need to scrap the fragmentation of "video camera" and "high res camera". the industry hates nikon right now because they proved it's technically possible.

I just picked up the Z8 and as a hybrid I don't see any camera touching it outside of the Z9

@@Bigcookfilms At some point we arrive where we do not use the device to its full capability. We don't really need 8K footage, 30 frames per second burstmode, we don't need ProRes, BRAW, ArriLog, REDRAW etc in one camera. I got the S5II and not the S5IIx cause I would not use BRAW or ProRes anyway, no all-Intra, I won't record externally, so it is more capable of what I'm going to use it for, only wanted better AF than on the S5.

As cool as that would be (I would love it) I don’t think it makes any business sense for a company like Lumix that has such tiny market share.

Maybe we'll reach that point one day but that fragmentation of video and high res cameras will be around a long time. The people who shoot video need different things than people who shoot photo, in video you don't really need super high resolution or high mega pixel sensors there are other things that are more important. The z9 is a photo camera 1st that can shoot video.

Even if the S1H 2 isn't coming out for a while, it would be nice to just get an official announcement, sign, or message of some kind so I don't just assume there's nothing coming and switch to Sony

People overlook the sensor problem. It’s was clear that the S1Rmk2 would come out sooner since it pretty much will have the same sensor as the Leica SL 3. Though I’m not sure what sensor they’re gonna use for the upcoming LUMIX S1Hmk2. If it’s going to be a Sony or their own manufacturing, which I do hope.

It's that simple. Lumix has a deal with Leica, which wanted to sell its SL3 for double the price for a year.

I want a full frame lumix thats an alternative to a komodo-x. So komodo-x specs, as in the frame rates and raw and such along with global shutter. 8k would be nice, but I think 6k internal is fine...box style of course

Box style Panasonic, but it must have accessories like functional ergonomic side grip, easily attachable monitor, all the bits and pieces that make a Komodo or Sony FX6 pleasant to use.

Nice…I will probably pick it up in 2028…because I just picked up a new GH6 1/3 of retail price…because I needed a high base iso MFT and GH6 is exactly that with best iso at 2000…are you using the GH6 still or not anymore? Thx for you inputs in the LUMIX world…

I just spend my all of money on lumix gear, I wake up 4 in the morning thinking about what if lumix is leaving the industry I'm screwed I had the chance to go with sony but now I'm stuck I hope they make s1hii this year Some people started to lose fathe in this brand

Just enjoy shooting with what you have NOW. After all, for example the S5 II isn't a bad camera / Pana's lenses aren't bad eiher.

Gh7 was NOT underwhelming! There still is no camera that can match it at this price and its a better camera than s5iix , thats for sure.

@ so what? I make money with gh cameras since 2018. gh cameras are top notch and nothing at this price can beat a gh7 in video. Its a super fast photo camera as well.

Panasonic is not going to release any new Lumix camera. Period. If they release, we will talk about it when they release it. For now, they are well into the future.
