I've had mine for a little over a year. Great camera. I use it for run n gun travel videos. Stabilization is perfect. I shoot everything exclusively handheld, I don't carry any stabilizers or a tripod with me. I combined my S5IIx into a rig with Blackmagic VideoAssist and SmallRig V-mount batteries. A real small cinema camera. BRAW is wonderful to work with in DaVinci.

Been using the S5IIX for my videos for the past few months and it just makes it so easy. I do generally really like it for photography too, and the AF is hugely improved from previous models.

Here for it. It's nice to have a cut and dried testing and presentation format, but it's also nice to let fly on something more personal and experiential with new gear. It's still a showcase of the strengths and weaknesses of the product, of course. Just warmer.

I’ve been using mine for six months now and it’s made shooting videos so much fun, especially with open-gate. Other than the 4K60 crop (can’t really complain for this price but I can) this camera body is money!

A good ibis is great to manual focus longer lenses for portrait like shots. That's one of the reasons i keep thinking about the S5II

A diiferent approach to showing the camera features. The colors were rich and saturated. Looking at the video I saw some focus pulsing at 3:41 - 3:50 in the sky perhaps was the camera or the editing. Keep the hard work and enjoy your family time.

This was so peaceful Josh, lovely footage and insightful commentary! I am deep into Canon RF (started with r7, then wanted full frame so currently have r6 ii and r5; main lenses are 35 f/1.8, 50 f/1.2, 24-70 f/2.8) but often wonder what could have been if I'd gone with Lumix back in May, especially now they will soon be getting Samyang lenses after they joined L mount. I have a lot of irritations about lens availability for RF mount and the high price of RF L lenses, and the Sigma DG DN selection for L mount seems a big boom. Canon's refurbished program is excellent value at least. Anyway looking forward to hopefully hearing more about how the r6 ii and s5 iix compare, really enjoyed your comparison video on the r6 ii and s5 ii although it had me second guessing my decision, haha

I have the s5iix for 6 months and I believe that for the 2500 euros I paid, it was the best for me. With 3 ssd disks, my videos are ALL prores!!! Incredible quality! All it needs is some AF improvements, with firmware, and everything will be...perfect.

Hey Josh I don't recall if you have the G9 II or not but I'd love to see side by side comparisons in terms of IBIS, low-light and dynamic range. I know full frame holds a lot of advantages but I'm addicted to the small form factor of M43. An in-depth look at the real world differences would be super helpful for Lumix shooters

I love this camera Josh and you have posted a fantastic video but you can see some moire on the parrot at 03:05 and this really concerns me as not many KZbinrs have mentioned this problem. And it is a significant problem for some including myself. Have you noticed it yourself? Thanking in advance.
