This song was released around 1994 when they started to be recognized as one of the top band at that time. This concert I think is recent one and place is Nippon Budokan , which was build for martial arts and sports competition for 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Budokan is also symbolic place for musician to perform as sign of success and popularity. Bandmaid was to play here on 2020 but got canceled because of pandemic.

The late 90s was the heyday of the《Visual Kei》 in Japan Rock. The era when the three big groups of "LUNA SEA", "L'Arc~en~Ciel" and "GLAY" were rampant is really very nostalgic (Of course 80s was definitely "X-Japan") "ROSIER" was a self-made word that means "rose-like", and the UMG translation was "brightly thorny". I think it's very appropriate. The power of this song lies in its monologue, the drums, bass, guitar, singing, and unreserved force. LUNA SEA music contains long-lasting power and aesthetic value that is not limited to the moment, making them a classic across the ages. the monologue : “By the time I knew, I was born Reason or quest, not being told What do I do, What should I take Words "God Only Knows" won't work for me Nothing starts Nothing ends in this city Exists only sever lonesome and cruel reality But still I search for light I am the trigger, I choose my final way Whether I bloom or fall, is up to me”

There's a lot I could say about how amazing Luna Sea is (this isn't even on my top 20 of their songs) but what I will say is that they're a fantastic live band. The energy and emotion jumps right off the stage.

Very nice reaction man, I of course love the usual band maid, nemophila, lovebites and other Japanese bands often reacted to on KZbin but I’ve been into Luna since they started when I was still in middle school almost 30 years ago (my uncle living in japan he introduced me to lots of Japanese bands in the 90,s) and I’m very happy that some people can know the original song that nemophila played (with great talent might I add). I won’t ask you to do more reactions from them since I’m not sure it’ll interest lots of people who usually don’t know shit about this superb Japanese musical world, but since you seem to know your way in music I’d advise you to check other LUNA SEA songs on your free time, because their originality is astounding, composition wise they remind me of band maid (or it should be the other way around since they’ve been here even before the band maid girls were born😂), there are too many songs to list them all but you could try claustrophobia, in my dreams -with shiver-, loveless, rain, mechanical dance, providence, Deja vu etc… the list is too long but they have a ton of really good songs

They formed in 1986 founded by the Bassist J and rhythm guitarist Inoran when they were in High School. In 1989 they added guitarist Sugizo, drummer Shinya and singer Ryuichi. They stayed together until their disbandment in 2000. One of the top bands in Japan through the n80's and 90's. Sugizo is one of THE guitarist of rock/metal in Japan. They were one the most successful "Visual Kei" movement in the 80's. Hard to explain with out pictures, Think wild hair and lots of makeup. Obviously this video is after that era. This video is from the 90's. HMV Japan ranked #90 of the top 100 most important bands.

Luna Sea are one of the big names of early Visual Kei along with the likes of X-Japan (it came from a phrase on their blue blood album cover) and Buck-Tick. Sugizo the guitarist is also properly the most famous violinist in Japanese rock outside of Jill of Unlucky Morpheus.

They formed in 1986 so yes, they've been around for a long time. They're considered probably the second most iconic Japanese rock band of all time with X-Japan being first and both were the catalyst and fathers of the "Visual Kei" J-rock genre. They were most prominent in mid 90's and still go strong now although they had some hiatus breaks in their tenure. Sugizo, their lead guitarist is also in X-Japan ever since Hide (X-Japan's lead guitarist) commit suicide in 1998 as temporary guitarist and then became a full member. As for your question on the venue, that is Budokan arena. They still release msuic periodically as they've slowed down as they're in their 50's now last year and Ryuichi (their lead singer) had to had surgery in repairing his vocal chords. However according to news, he's fully healed and they're back in doing some concerts in Japan this month.

I wouldn't put hide's death as suicide as fact, because the fact is no one really knows. But we do know that X Japan and his family believe it was a tragic accident.

Luna Sea was the first Japanese rabbit hole I fell into about 20 years ago! Rosier is from their album "Mother", their best one in my opinion, my favourite song of them "Genesis of Mind" is from the same album! Not a lot of reaction of Luna Sea out there maybe because of copyright things so be careful if you want to check more. They formed in the 80's and were one of the flagship of Visual key in the 90's alongside X-Japan (biggest Japanese Hard Rock/Metal band ever if you want to check them do KurenaI live and pair it with Nemophila cover 😉) and L'arc-en-Ciel for example. Thanks for the reaction I'm gonna guess you did the Nemophila cover right after that 😁

They are legends, i love Luna sea's live performance. Most of my favorite content is from 20th anniversary. The lead guitarist Sugizo also has solo projects and loves experimenting with music styles and instruments. He plays with musicians from many different countries
