I'm sorry he died, but better to die free than in the Seaworld prison. Beautiful baby Luna seemed happy, healthy and acted on his own volition. RIP beautiful creature.

Never should Orcas be put in horrible places like Sea World!! There was not anything wrong with him being around humans when he was always free to make that choice! The choice should have been his and it was!! I am surprised he was a stray and never got back with his pod that is very unusual in the wild! That animal was smart, self aware, and capable of feeling empathy. He did not need humans deciding what was best for him as long as he was eating and staying healthy! Thank God they were prevented from catching him and putting him in a little pool with chlorine!

Luna chose Nootka Sound and demonstrated that he could establish a relationship with native sons. Clearly he deserved to live with his human pod. Luna had enlightenment and great intuition. He left his pod because he had become bored with the repetitive rhythm.He was gifted and sought novelty in a new setting .Luna should have been protected in a special sanctuary away from propeller boats. RIP sweet and savvy Luna.

We know orcas can talk to each other so i wonder if a orca has been away from its family all its life he will not be able to communicate with hes pod once reunited ? I mean he might not have been able to talk to the other orcas because he wasn't learnt to speak as a baby ? So they might have rejected him ? Because there are two different tipes of orcas and they speak two different languages . And that's why he bonded with people so much because we was the nearest thing too a family he had ? How old was luma when he strayed from he's pod ? It's so sad really.

A native american tribe blocked a proven method for saving orphan orcas, because they thought the whale was their chief and because they decided to believe a rumor. As a result, the whale is now dead. how can the tribe people be smiling and feeling proud about what they did to the orca? really really wrong. the tribes people should have been arrested and the orca should have been saved

@@teresa264 Luna definitely shouldn't have gone to Seaworld or anywhere like it but it was only a rumor that got them to resist all attempt to move him. More then just members of the First Nations would have spoken out against putting Luna in such a place he was loved regardless of beliefs! There were better ways to protect him, or they could have tried relocating Luna to a safer area themselves; they are entirely aware not everyone is respectful and neutrals around more then just Orcas.
