Lunalight Fusion Season 30 II | Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel

Final video for Season 30 showcases duels from M5 to M2... yes, I unfortunately peaked at M2 this season. At the current time of me writing this comment, I was 3 wins away from M1 but got sacked 5 games in a row to demote to M3 and have been there since. It is very disappointing honestly but I think I learned a lot from this season that I can take to the next one, Fire King is a tough matchup with Snake-Eyes backing it but I also got good wins versus it. No decklist at the end but it's the same one I used to get Master 5 so you can refer to the last two videos if you'd like to check those out. And yes, we did do a game of Lunalight Utopia in this video, an almost full combo with the deck in WCQ 2nd Stage. Was testing it out just for fun as I recently finished the build for it. It's fine, one of the weaker variants of Lunalight but it has some cool stuff it can do. Anyways, hope you all enjoy the video, I'll see you for Season 31! Lunalights best deck, forever and always!

That banish effect on Kaleido Chick is truly a magnificent thing. Breaking a board and your opponent realizing they can't activate any effects is beautiful to watch as their board is wiped in one swift motion.

man i used to play lunalight a few years ago when MD wasn’t a thing… i wasn’t really into ygo at that time but since the game is live i’ve been back to the game, mostly with Odd eyes first. then branded bc it has cool dragons and it was super strong but i always knew leo dancer could do smth in this meta. discovered ur channel a few month ago. now the lunalight deck is complete and i can finally enjoy cleaning boards with leo dancer again. thanks for making lubalight great in this mega 😼❤️

HERO is not a matchup I run into often but it is not favored for Lunalights if they put down full board. Lunalight Fusion for Leo Dancer or Talents is usually the answer or running Imperm/Nibiru.

I would love if you could share the deck list for the lunatopia deck please 😢. Because of you I love palying Lunalight and now i wanna try every branch possible! I already built it irl and now i wanna experiment. When i started playing it in Master duel and IRL I see how much work goes into piloting this deck and i gotta say even if the videos are hand picks your mastery with them is just on another level. Hey! Glad you've been enjoying Lunalights and the different variants. My decklist for the Lunalight Utopia variant is WIP but I'll probably be using it for XYZ Cup or Lunalight Raidraptor, depends on bans and such. This came out while I was on vacation so I missed it when it was released, hence why I didn't comment like I usually do. Congrats on the strong showing as always even if you didn't make M1 this season, I stopped bothering with it myself after getting fed up with FKSE. How do you feel about Yubel and Centurion making their debut in MD?

Yubel - Not a fan at all, it's basically Fiend combo deck with mostly generic endboard that a bunch of HERO players are gonna play cause it's an anime deck aka better than HERO and meta. Centurion - With Calamity banned, it will only see play as an engine versus its own fleshed out deck which is fine. I like the deck's aesthetic/inspiration. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@royalvandyke You're the first player to dislike Yubel I met, but I get you. With Fiendsmith on the horizon Yubel will just be Fiend-Link much like Dragon-Link was before it. Still, I'll probably craft it just cause I really like the theming (and coping about not just crafting Branded already/wanting a fusion deck besides Luna and tear). Centurion I'm seriously conflicted on, I don't really care for the theme but I really like White Woods, and some of the best WW variants use the Centurion engine. And some Centurion use WW as an engine, so might as well invest in it now that I have a spare 10k gems laying around.

@@owo2312 Yeah I hate the idea of the Fiendsmith engine as well but yeah Yubel never was my favorite from GX (she's probably the best companion but that's a low bar imo). I will dread the matchup tbh. Centurion's main draw for me besides the aeshetic is its synergy with White Woods which I like the look of and the gameplay. I will invest in it but we'll see where it goes from there.

@@royalvandyke White Woods really seam like a great and fun Synchro deck, which is rare cause most Synchro decks are just Baronne turbo. Will you play other decks on the channel besides Luna, such as WW? I know you played Tear before, but it was always alongside Lunas. Speaking of WW videos, I really like Hero Hero's videos on White Woods and suggest those to anyone interested in learning about the deck.

@@owo2312 yeah White Woods might be a deck I consider learning unless something else drops down the line. I probably won’t do any content that isn’t Lunalight related as I have done that before (did showcases of going second duels of other decks) and it never took off tbh. I think my fanbase really wants to stick with Lunalights which is fine since it is my favorite deck in the entire game.

Great last match vs SEFK. All that disruption for him just to surrender. He just can't see how his costly deck at its peak play get beat by a rogue. Btw, any thoughts on adding bagooska in extra deck? I think it's a good card if your opponent gets to choose you for turn 1.

Yeah the writing was on the wall for him in that duel, absolutely laughable to watch him surrender in that manner. Bagooska’s fine, it’s very outtable these days though sadly so I just opted out of it.

@@MarkDanT Die I guess. The chances of being made to go first in this game are incredibly rare, usually in the form of Mikanko, Sky Striker, Numeron/8-Axis. Tenpai will change that when it drops but until then, we will be fine.

@@royalvandyke hopefully we get more lunalight supports that will make turn 1 lunalight strong. Another question, is this MD deck good in TCG/OCG format? or does it need more techs/engines? I'm planning to build this deck in TCG/OCG. As much as possible I want it to be pure lunalight.

@@MarkDanT Well Lunalights are supposed to be an OTK deck, it was never designed with a going first philosophy. As for this deck’s strength, in TCG, it is pitiful, Tiger at 1 means if they get rid of it, your plays are pretty much over. In OCG, it is better since no limits but it’s still a slow deck needing specific two card combos to operate. If you were building it to be as competitive as possible, you would be mixing it with Tearlaments. This deck needs either more support or a new archetype that it can synergize with as much as it does with Tearlaments. Preferably it would be closer to Beast Warrior support.

As a duel links lunalight player, this makes me want to build the deck in MD. So i have to ask what's the typical endboard going first with Lunas? In DL it's Dweller plus evilswarm nightmare

You do not go first with pure Lunas, it can not make a sufficient board on its own. You play it as a go second deck which is why my replays are mainly going second with few exceptions which are typically just alternate variants.

@@kimjung-un8204 you die for the reason outlined. People run Bagooska but it is so easily outed that it doesn’t matter. You never want to go first with this variant of the deck. You can’t get away with Dweller, Nightmare outside of DL.

@@kimjung-un8204 no because the only decks currently making you go first are Mikanko (can’t OTK you without a monster on your field), Numeron (not seen in higher ranks), 8-Axis (same as Numeron), and Sky Striker (needs specific hands to OTK). No reason to scoop tbh.

Having more than one attack per turn is a pretty strong effect to have, not many cards have it, then you have cards like vision hero trinity that one: has its attack doubled, and two: can attack THREE times, but not directly Edit: my bad, I'm a heros nerd despite me not playing heros lol

Don't worry, I play HERO as a secondary deck so I'm well aware of Trinity and his effects. Panther Dancer and Leo Dancer getting multiple attacks in different ways definitely serve awesome purposes and it's good to have them both for different situations. Trinity Crash is a GOAT finisher though, Leo Dancer popping an entire board on her own though is just a bit sweeter for me.

This is the first time I seen you play Lunalight with XYZ heavy (Salaman great match) Also last match, I think you would should 'Get back here you coward' LOL Anyway, I think you use to play Bujintei Kagutsuchi too right? I think he is good when your opponent doesn't know how lunar light play and have Princess in GY, many time they just waste their princess destroy effect to destroy Bujintei Kagutsuchi while all we want is mill 5

I still play Kagutsuchi but I don’t summon him just to bait Princess GY effect, that is a terrible use of the card if you don’t need the mill 5. It comes up where you prefer the mill over Tiger King but if your hand/GY is already set up, he’s not needed.
