We love to celebrate the Lunar New Year. There’s so many traditions that we follow! Cleaning up before the new year, decorating with the lucky new year sayings, eating chicken, rice vermicelli, shrimp, all foods that sound lucky, wearing new and red clothes. I’m from San Francisco, so we attend the lunar new year street fairs and one of the biggest new year parades outside China. Happy Lunar New Year!!!🧧

So it’s just been in the past few years that I have become really interested in the Red Card tradition. One of my friends husband is Chinese and I love hearing about all of the traditions …..my personal Lunar New Year Tradition will be to wear something new but Also, kind of like a Caterpillar that turns into a Butterfly to experience a New Beautiful Life……each year…shake off the old and celebrate the NEW🎉. ❣️

The red envelope tradition has always been my favorite since I was a young girl. Unfortunately I now have to be the person who gives them out 🥹 happy lunar new year!

I work hard to incorporate different culture’s celebrations and traditions with my students. We decorate the classroom, read books about lunar new year and I even give out red envelopes. This year, I also built the new Lego money tree.

happy CNY richelle!! just for any dragons and snakes out there, this is your year to BE EXTRA CAREFUL! the fortune for health and road safety is unlucky for us (im snake), so please be cautious!! drive slow and make sure you look both ways before crossing the street. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. we dont celebrate CNY too deeply, just dumplings, gao and mooncakes!

Aloha Richelle, Our Chinese New Year family traditions is making sure you have a haircut before the New Year, and to make sure your house is clean and everyone has money in their wallet. Basically going in to the New Year how you would want the rest of the year to be. :)

My family didn’t do any traditions when I was growing up, but for my kids we play Uno together with different packs of cards that we find. We got the Uno No Mercy cards and laughed, made and broke alliances and just had an amazing time. It’s only me and them two so I try to do things together as much as I can.
@richcurated8 ай бұрын
That sounds so fun! Nowadays families don’t get to spend that much time together anymore and that’s why I like reading everyone’s responses. I have to look in to these Uno No Mercy cards! Also, please send me your address to my rich.elle instagram 🤗

Yes I’m slowly learning from my Chinese coworkers. My father was very localized so I didn’t have grand traditions. The Chloe perfume is really good. Highly recommend! Happy lunar new year! 🧧
