I think its perfectly fair. No matter what you choose its all apart of characterization. A lot of fans hate Ashley for letting Chris die and goading Mike into shooting Emily even though both of those could potentially never happen, same for Mike shooting Emily, Chris shooting the squirrel, Matt abandoning Jessica, etc. Why? Because regardless of what you choose its all apart of their characters. Its up to the player as far as what thoughts they act upon
@femalegaysАй бұрын
"he's picking favorites" yea, it's HIS opinion, gurl.

I honestly blame the developers for the hate that Emily gets. Emily is insecure, thinks she isn’t enough for Matt, she is a perfectionist who fears failure and you can only know that if you deep dive into her interactions with the others. She was betrayed by Hannah, Jessica, Mike and later Mike betrayed her again with Ashley when they tried to have her killed. Of course she’s bitchy to the people who BETRAYED her. Emily can actually be so nice to Ashley if she doesn’t get bit and actually comforts Ashley when the flamethrower guy came in and if Chris dies. Also, the fact that Matt accuses her of f*cking Mike in a serious situation like that is so f*cked up that she has to admit to it even though she didn’t even kiss him she literally just wanted closure bc she was dumped and was so confused.
@ikeafoodmanager9251Ай бұрын
I mean a lot (including me) hates her or doesn't like her as much as the others cz reasons : 1. Sometimes her choice of words is not the kindest or her way of saying it makes her seem bitchy. 2. (This is personal) The fact she lied to Matt's face saying she wanted to meet Sam but in actuality she met Mike n then proceeds to say "U think so little of me? " When Matt was being a nice guy by offering her to go with her. 3. Sometimes she's just over the top. Like just cz Hannah liked ur bf u could LITERALLY hv a conversation with her n say "Yk Mike's my bf right? "But nope she just proceeds to prank her which causes her death. 4. Complaining abt the dumbest shit. For example, her complaining abt her $600 top which was used for the torch, complaining to Matt when she was hanging down the fire tower. It's an intense moment so Matt was overwhelmed but Em just chose violence and forced him to help her when in reality it would be better for Matt to jump off to safety. I mean there's also a side/trait of Em which I like but personally in my characters ranking, she's rather low. Not the lowest but it's better than getting 8th.
@coney_island_queenАй бұрын
@@ikeafoodmanager9251 The prank was actually 100% Jess’s plan Emily was just there to see what happens and Mike was way more involved in it than Em. Honestly, if I had to ruin something that costed me 600$ I would complain too. And the fire tower situation how can you say that it was dumb for her to complain when her life was on the line way more than Matt bc he can easily jump to safety? She was stressed out of her mind like any human would be. Also, as I said in my first comment she’s bitchy bc people betrayed her. She’s never bitchy to Sam, Ash and Mike (pre slap scene), Chris and Josh. She’s mean to Jess bc she betrayed her and being mean to Matt is imo a sign of her trust issues (her ex bf and ex bsf betrayed her so shes paranoid that everything that he does is a sign of him not liking her or that she can’t trust him and she shows remorse for her behavior towards Matt and for what happened that night and her honesty doesn’t drop unlike Mike and Ash) and extreme fear and stress due to what was happening during the game. And about her lying to Matt, what did you expect her to say? I need to talk to my ex bf bc I need closure and I probably still have feelings for him? Also, Mike’s honesty drops when he compliments Jess which means he literally just wants to hookup and still has feelings for Em.
@thatoneguy1232Ай бұрын
1. That’s fair. Sometimes what she says can be quite withering. 2. I disagree with her lying 100%. But at the same time, she can’t just be like “hey imma go catchup with my ex”. Matt is very obviously insecure and judging by Emily’s actions, particularly paired with a later scene, it’s clear she doesn’t want Matt thinking about Mike in that way. When they go to get her bag, she agrees to start the night over, no Mike and no Jess. When Matt clears the snow off the table Emily has to reassure him that she is with him. And making Matt want to go with Emily makes him further come off as insecure, distrusting, clingy, and little possessive. That’s not attractive. I know Emily probably doesn’t deserve trust. Especially not in this moment knowing what we know. But it still comes off a little weird on Matt’s part. 3. Emily didn’t even start the pranks that was Jess. They were just having fun and the gravity of the situation didn’t hit them until until after the unfortunate incident. Emily does feel bad about what happened and given the perception of her character, this should be huge. It’s like “what? The big bad super b feels terrible about the disappearance of a friend who was ready to throw herself at her then-boyfriend with little to no consideration for her?” But yea, in the present Emily understands what they did and is upset by it. She’s the only character who participated in the prank that is ONLY ever apologetic. The same can’t be said for Ash, Mike, and Jess(Matt never speaks up about it so we don’t know). 4. You wouldn’t be be upset about losing a $600 top? But nah in all seriousness she’s just rambling as one does. It’s like if someone was to complain about Mike singing eenie meanie after chopping his fingers off or Sam boasting to a rock wall saying “I beat you”. They’re just talking taking their minds off the situation. Relax. And the tower scene is Emily arguably at her most irritable but look at the situation. She is hanging on for dear life! AND SHE IS RIGHT! They are on a crumbling tower. There is no time for thinking. No time for chit chat. Something has to be done! What do you mean? Her yelling and berating Matt isn’t helping. He is overwhelmed and needs to collect himself but time is of the essence. There is no real wrong here(unless Matt takes the time to abuse this situation to interrogate her while not taking “no” as an answer which is just borderline evil). And what’s crazy is that if Matt is knocked off the cliff, then Emily is ALWAYS there to pull him up regardless of their relationship status. You’re telling me Matt, the linebacker, can’t stick his hand out for her? And there’s no way he’s reaching her from the other side. Especially when he’d be to her back plus the distance between. Unless he expected her to swing backwards, launch herself, then he can catch her ankle and pull her up 😂

@@thatoneguy1232 Even if I was insecure, I would rather be told to my face that my partner is catching up with my ex than my partner lying to my face, proceed to be angry at me, and then I found out later on that my partner is not doing what they told me. I know that em didn't start the prank, but who was the prank for? It was for Em cz Hannah is attempting to steal Mike from Em. Also from what it seems there is no conversation that was had between Em (or anyone) to Hannah saying to back off of Mike cz He's Em's and then Em just proceeds to be okay with the prank. Personally, this one minor reason if compared to the other ones. The $600 top comment is pretty small but still kinda "ugh" to me cz she rlly commented that after she miraculously survived just cz a rope/chain was holding her upside down. During the fire tower scene, Matt stressed af cz he's not only thinking abt his gf's life but also his own life and since Em is known to be foul mouthed (especially at dire moments) it's like fueling the situation and making the situation worse. Even tho time is of the essence,if Matt is still stressed cz he can't calm down cz she just keeps commenting, ofc it will slow things down and both could die. Plus to me Matt seems like the type to be able to work better when his mind is calm and not stressing out. Which doesn't rlly match with Em who can work under pressure and rlly work at any stressful time (which is tbh is a good trait for her, but not ALL the time and it can't be forced to other ppl). Plus at that scene let's be real, the tower is descending each time they're moving. Em is getting farther down the fence thingy and Matt's chance to save her became EVEN LOWER. There's a low to zero chance for him to completely grab her up without them both falling to the darkness. That's why personally if I was Em, I would rather Matt just jump off and leave me. Cz I would rather I die alone than me AND my partner dying together cz of my bitchy attitude.

While Hannah didn't deserve what happened to her, she did try to hook up with the boyfriend of one of her friends of while of fully sound mind and under no extraneous circumstances. Beth was given a choice between doing harm and doing less harm and chose the option of less harm at worst, while Hannah had a choice of doing harm or doing no harm and chose harm. I'd put Hannah around Jess and Emily. Overall good list, though.

I agree 100%. We don't get to know much about Beth unfortunately, but what we do know about her paints her as a good and caring sister. As soon as she realizes the group is playing a prank on Hannah she's ready to do something about it, and after Hannah runs out to the woods she goes after her, and consoles her as soon as she finds her. If she chooses to let go of her sister, it's only because in the situation she was in there was no way other than letting go. At that moment her best shot at living was by reaching out for the stranger's hand and Hannah couldn't be saved by her. It was either they both fall or only one of them falls in her mind, though obviously we all know no matter what she chooses the outcome is always the same for her.😬 Sad because as the other comment above me pointed out, if Beth had managed to reach out for the hand and lived, there was a higher chance that Hannah would have been found and lived as well without having to turn wendigo.

The inverse of this reasoning is why I believe Emily is a moral character, too. Emily is the most intelligent of the characters (hinted at by the 4.0 GPA line) and has a strong degree of resolve and emotional control, like when she quickly calms herself in the mines by saying to herself “snap out of it, Em” and immediately goes back to being a badass. In Emily’s play through, she problem solves very quickly, and puts together the clues she has seen almost immediately. Inversely, Ashley comes across as foolish and shallow.

For me is like this: 1- Hannah: She literally does nothing wrong, just eating Beth's body, but like, she was going to die of starvation at that point, almost anyone would've done the same. The Wendigo actions she does don't count since she's not controlling herself at that point. 2- Beth: She drops Hannah, but it is more to save herself than anything else, and she does feel remorse for dropping her. 3- Jessica: She orchestrated the prank against Hannah, but she does show remorse for doing so later in the game. She doesn't really do much evil after that 4- Matt: The most evil thing he can do is abandon Jessica to save himself, a doesn't actually show any remorse for doing it. However, compared to what everyone else does, it's not much. Insulting Emily at the tower barely counts, since she insults him back during the whole scene. 5- Chris: He can shoot a Squirrel for fun and hit Josh when he is tied up in blind rage. With that said, everything else he does is not that bad. 6- Emily: She is a bitchy character, but she can also do actual evil things. Firstly, she deliberately pushes Ashley to put her in danger, not to run ahead like some think (This is beacuse, if Emily isn't bitten, or doesn't know the bites are innofensive, she won't push Ashley). Also, in the police station, she can say Matt left her to die and not feel anything when told he is dead, even if Matt actually tried to save her. That said, she's far from the worst character in terms of morality 7- Josh: He pulls a prank that traumatizes most of his friends, and targets specifically Chris and Sam, when Sam was barely involved in the prank and Chris wasn't involved in it at all. However, he does it for revenge for his sisters, and he doesn't actually put anyone in real danger. 8- Sam: She is mostly good during the whole game... Until the very end when she can take the decision to leave the house and intentionally kill almost everyone of her friends. At least Matt and Emily just try to save themselves by putting the other one in danger, Sam actually gets her hands dirty and actually murders her friends. 9- Mike: He can actually murder Emily with his own hands. He has a somewhat valid reason, however that doesn't change the fact that he actually kills his ex. He leaves Jessica for dead even if she actually is alive, leaving her alone and suffering for almost all night. In his rage, he also attempts to kill the Stranger, someone who is completely innocent in all of this. And his worst act... He can kick wolfie! F you Mike >:( 10- Ashley: Unlike Mike, who had somewhat of a valid reason to kill Emily, or Sam who leaves her friends behind to save herself, Ashley can leave Chris to die just for a grudge. Not only that, she can hide the fact that bites are not infectious just so she's not caught and to avoid consequences. If you play your cards right, Ashley can be the worst character in the game

My ranking is about like this: Moral - Immoral 1. Sam - She is known to be considerate and brave. Sure, you *can* decide as a player to run for the switch and kill others, but I do not think she would naturally choose that. Even when its revealed that Josh is the psycho, she shows some understanding and empathy, saying its a clear cry for help. She also tried, even if failed, to stop the prank on Hannah and told the group off 2. Beth - We don't get to know Beth too well, but she does go after Hannah in the woods, and her choice doesn't matter - whether she lets go of the branch or Hannah. Even if she could have saved herself by letting go of Hannah, then I feel she would have looked for help and they'd have been able to find Hannah with Beths help later. I base that assumption off of the actions we *do* see. Going after Hannah in the woods, giving her the jacket, even keeping Hannah behind her when, Im assuming, a wendigo was approaching them. I think its pretty clear she cares deeply for Hannah 3. Chris - Wasnt involved in the prank in any way and most immoral decisions given to him are a result of the game Josh pulls as the psycho. Even if you consider he could pull the trigger on Ashley instead of himself, 99% of people would do the same thing if they were in that situation. Overall, he just seems like a good guy 4. Hannah - Honestly, I get she had a huge crush on Mike, but seeing the prom picture, it made it seem like Emily was supposed to be her friend, not like she was only Mikes gf at the time. Its pretty shitty to be willing to go behind one of your friends back just bc you have a crush on their bf and willing to cheat with him. But she also wasn't confronted in a proper way, rather given a cruel prank and filmed. I can feel some sympathy for her because of that 5. Josh - I feel sympathy for him too. He is struggling with a misdiagnosed mental disorder and has been through the terrible trauma of losing his sisters. For that, he acts out bc he wants the group to feel what Hannah/Beth felt before, but still what he does is pretty fucked up. Not to mention, I think he gets the worst fate if you play the game honestly as he turns into a Wendigo 6. Emily - I can agree that Emily comes off like this super bitchy girl who thinks she runs the show. But she actually proves to be pretty resourceful and bad-ass at times. She is not lower bc she still participated in the prank and didn't take it seriously when Hannah ran off. She also lies to Matt at the beginning when she says she has to go find Sam, but actually just wanted to go catch up with Mike. I cant say whether or not she was cheating, but Id get heated too if I saw my partner hugging an ex like that 7. Matt - Overall, Matt doesn't seem like the worst dude, but he definitely comes off as insecure and somewhat possessive of Emily. He also gets points docked for filming the prank and being able to confront Emily about her and Mike on the radio tower instead of looking for a solution, likely putting Emily in a position where she may lie just so her life could be spared 8. Jess - Honestly, she only ended up this high on the list for two things. One being that she is the original orchestrator of the prank on Hannah and claimed it was to stick up for Emily. Secondly, because she proved she didn't really care all that much about Emily bc as soon as Emily and Mike broke up, she became Mikes new gf. For that, she comes off as selfish. However, she admittedly has a pretty bad night too. She has no idea whats going on, just that something dragged her down to the mines and she can ultimately survive, only to be abandoned by Matt. If shes the only survivor in a playthrough, she literally has no idea whats happened in her interview and just looks so out of it and broken that even I can feel sympathy for her 9. Mike - I think Mikes biggest flaw is how much of a typical douche he is. He comes off right away as your stereotypical douchebag that eventually works his way through all the girls in the friend group. Even Josh hints at this at the beginning when he jokes with Chris that if he doesn't make a move on Ashley, Mikes certain to eventually take up the cause. As others mentioned, when he's supportive towards Jess, his honesty drops, meaning he's pretending to care in order to get in her pants, and even if he *is* honest, he uses the same line he used on Hannah during the prank. He can end up shooting Emily, which I think is fucked up considering they used to date. His only good quality IMO is that he can be pretty brave at times throughout the game and is a huge part of the plan at the end to blow up the cabin once everyone's out 10. Ashley - I didn't want to put Ashley here in the most immoral spot, but honestly, I cant excuse a lot of her actions. She may not have played an active role in the prank on Hannah, but she did nothing to stop it and still observed it going down similarly to Emily. I also believe her honesty goes down if she apologizes during the ouija board section and if she speaks as if she regrets the prank. In honesty, she doesn't feel any remorse for the prank and likely thinks whatever happened to Hannah/Beth is their faults, not the group. She plays a huge role in egging on Mike to shoot Emily and freaks out at every little thing. Even though she tells Chris to shoot her during the psycho section, if he does shoot the blank at her, she will refuse to open the door for him later on, resulting in his death. Its kind-of just the epitome of a cowardly character that only cares about their own self-preservation above all else

About Emily "cheating" on Matt - there's a great quote from Reservoir Dogs that I think applies to her situation: "If you fucking beat this prick long enough, he'll tell you he started the goddamn Chicago fire, now that don't necessarily make it fucking so!" This is to say that when Matt is interrogating Emily who is inches away from falling into the abyss, she is going to say anything so that he can drag her out of there as fast as possible.

The problem with this list and topic in general is u use justifications for some and not others and imo you have to balance the good with the bad, for instance Em dose nothing to help anyone, she causes stress for matt who tries to help her and like you said pushishes ash motivated by anger not fear where as mike acts as the groups protector constantly sacrificing himself to try and save the others, yes he can make some bad choices but most come from fear like Em turning and he doesn't make a quick desison
@jayvaldez9984Ай бұрын
not only did em show empathy and concern to her friends (when she saw ash bloodied after the josh saw scene, comforted ashley when chris died, showed remorse for the prank and in the house for the twins if she found all clues and beths head in the mine, can show remorse for matt if he dies, and showed concern for sam if ashley dies in the trapdoor), she also gave the idea to call for help to essentially save everyone and she helps matt if he falls down the cliff with no hesitation unlike matt in the fire tower. To be fair her bitchiness only applied to jess, mike or ashley and on matt (who wronged or could wrong her), she was never bitchy to sam, josh, or chris.
@Rowan_0161Ай бұрын
@jayvaldez9984 whilest yes, she felt bad they all felt bad for what they did, the idea for the call tower came when they saw the map non of the others new about it or could even make it as they were in trouble and Matt literally couldn't off helped her as he was balanceing the tower, I question why em didn't try to clime up she just sat their and bitched at matt, and like I mentioned actions speak louder than words and when everything goes down she dosnt do anything heroic like the others atleast can do, I personally don't think any of them are immoral as their decision all make sense bar Emily pushing ash when getting chased at the end but I don't think Em dose anything unique

I wonder if anyone else has noticed that Matt assumes something happened between Emily and Mike because they hugged. Yes, they used to date. Yes, they're still friends and presumably close. But that doesn't mean they hooked up. She was confused and .... Matt put in the words, not Emily. If he had brought this up at a time where her life wasn't in danger, I could be easier on him for it. But he made a judgement call when his girlfriend was in peril. At that point, in order to save her own life, I could see her agreeing to anything if it meant he would help her.

I had a close friend in high school who had a boyfriend like Matt. He knew she dated other guys before him, and said he was fine with it. However, if he saw any "proof" of it, he held it against her and blamed her for things that didn't happen (including cheating). She did end up leaving him, but it was years of him being paranoid and toxic beforehand. In his mind, if he believed something to be true it was, even if evidence proved he was wrong. Did Emily make a mistake? Yes. But I felt her "confession" was more of a "he won't help me up if I don't answer in the way he wants that I'll admit to anything" that I got from her.

Someone once gave a really good analysis of this on Reddit that sought to balance what the character always/has to do vs. player choice. (Plus fixed heroic moments, perhaps). Because you could have certain characters basically not do anything very wrong the whole game while others have no timeline in which they did not do x thing. This gets intense and complex in extremely polar situations like Chris’s gun trap which ranges from him sacrificing a friend, to him sacrificing himself, making him very polar between selfish and above and beyond selfless. Whereas Jess’s actions never amount to anything horrible, but there’s no timeline in which she won’t create the prank. In contrast, there is a possible timeline where Sam harms nobody at all and is basically completely unproblematic the whole story. Not true for Emily who always does the prank and automatically shoves Ashley/bad talks Matt if certain other things are chosen. Matt is another polar example because you can play him as the most patient man ever or have him snap at a really bad moment.
@WisteriaMonkedАй бұрын
Additionally, yes-it feels like maybe heroism should fit into this? Jess doesn’t do much horrible, but she doesn’t really show extreme heroism in tricky situations like Chris trying to save Josh because of their friendship and questioning if it’s morally correct to kill a wendigo, or Sam potentially risking her own life multiple times to get everyone out. This really is a nuanced question, I think! It feels like it should be more than comparing individual bad deeds.

That’s what I’m saying. He is really looking at what the PLAYER chooses instead of their CANON personality. An example would be Sam because realistically sam wouldn’t flip the switch with people still alive. Also Ashley below Josh when he literally TRAUMATIZED AND ASSAULT the group. Someone who has morals would NOT have done that because making people suffer only allows more suffering. The only thing you could say about Ashley was that she did not regret the prank which is immoral but, everything she does next is because of the player’s actions. The title should been ‘’My favorite character tier list with a LOT of bias in it’’.

I think you make mistakes with this list in that you pick the worst choices you can make instead of looking at their actual character. I think Matt is one of the most moral in that even if you choose to jump instead of saving Emily it's not out of selfishness it's out of logic and if the situation was the other way around Emily definitely would've jumped and not even considered saving Matt. In terms of Sam she's definitely one of the most moral aswell as while you have the option to run for the switch her character throughout the game indicates she would definitely try her best to save everyone. I think the only one you got spot on was Mike bc yh I think he would've at least heavily considered killing Em to save everyone else in the safe room. In terms of Ashley and Chris saying they're immoral bc they supported killing Em is ridiculous bc anyone in that situation would believe that the bites are infectious. And in terms of Chris shooting Ashley he would not do that. There are lots more examples that I could name.

I think Emily is getting too much hate for her personality because she is really mean but only because of how her friends hurt her. See it from her point of view. Her best friend, Jess, got with her man immediately after they broke up. Mike, someone who she trusted deeply, got with her best friend after dumping her. It was also referenced that Mike dumped her because she wouldn't get with him. Jess called her too frigid. Jess should be lower than Emily because she's a backstabber and opportunist. She would've been worse if Hannah hadn't dragged her ass out a window. FYI not a jess hater Shes top three for me just think shes a bad person.

@@youtubecruiser6819 False. You just have to keep their relationship high, there are playthroughs where she says that regardless of who he sides with or whether he jumps to safety. The only way to truly lower their relationship is by insulting her, attacking and killing the deer, and/or leaving her to die. Emily being heartless is false -the point of Emily's character is to subvert her initial mean girl facade and show that there is a vulnerable and affectionate person beneath the surface. In moments alone with Matt this is seen as well as her being distraught when he falls after attacking the deer and her being the only character who shows remorse for the prank without it being the player's choice. This is why the developers state that she has "potentially one of the most heroic arcs of the game." Ashley's is the opposite, being the "nice girl" who has the capacity to be cold and vindictive, that is, letting Chris die out of a grudge. Unlike Emily, Ashley's remorse is the player's choice and her honesty goes down if she is sympathetic and apologetic, and the opposite otherwise. Ashley comes close to being heartless more than Emily, who is only mean as a front and only to people who betray her and/or risk her life, that is Jessica, Ashley, Mike, and potentially Matt.
@patrickmarquez830719 сағат бұрын
@@charles1291 But Ashley's compassion goes up when you have her be sympathethic which means that she really wants to show that she cares so she is not that heartless there are people in other fictional media who are not willing to show that they care even if they saved people lives. A certain superhero that the protagonist looked up to in Tiger and Bunny is an example. What happened in that story is that a superhero saved multiple people's lives but acts abusive towards his family. While Emily is helpful she is abusive, there are even a bunch of stories that condem the type of thinking Emily has even if she is insecure and does not want to be left behind. Emily is pretty much like Rick, from Rick and Morty they are both smart people who saved multiple lives but they are still selfish people who has a problem who don't do what they want.
@ButcLesb17 күн бұрын
I think it would be better if everyone would judge people on their pre-game actions since the gameplay itself it up to the player on if they are moral or not. Emily, Mike, Jessica, and Matt are the worst since it is obvious that they are the core instigators for what happened ultimately to Hannah. Josh is the only one completely clear since he passed out before anything went down. Ashley and Chris have the body language of people that just went along with everything because they wanted to be liked and seen as part of the crowd. It is actually obvious that they are the group geeks that are kept around to help with homework or because they have deep childhood connections to others in the popular crowd. They aren't very moral because of this but are more mid than bad. Beth is also clear because right up until player choice is an issue she defended her sister and tried to help her. Sam is the only one of the group that knew about the prank that refused to participate and even though she was too late she tried to stop it. This makes her the most moral character in the game before player choices get involved.

i think jess should be ranked higher with mike personally, they deserve eachother. jess orchestrated an entire prank to coerce and sexually humiliate hannah in front of everyone, as punishment for being a bad friend and going after mike while he was with emily. she then betrays emily by getting with him and shows no empathy, brushing her off as a jealous ex who wants to get inbetween them rather than an ex friend who’s having a normal reaction to seeing two people she loved the most who betrayed her planning to go off and have sex in the cabin. calling her a skank, whore, bitch - and for what? i also hated when she says “emily too frigid for you, too?” to matt. emily likely confided her insecurities and problems with her and mikes relationship to her. she then uses this against her which is beyond cruel. emily’s reaction to seeing them pales in comparison to josh having to see them together, though. imagine being passed out drunk while your friends are over, waking up to find out that your sisters are missing and presumed dead after one was cruelly punished for going after her friends boyfriend. then, one year later, you see the same girl who orchestrated the prank to “defend emily” shamelessly flaunting mike on her arm - having done the same thing she punished hannah for which indirectly killed her. with no apology to josh or ability to read the room. jess didn’t deserve what happened to her but i can’t stand her.

At first, I didn't like Emily very much as she's the most bitchy of the group but then, when I replayed the game, I find out that she's actually the smartest member of the group as she persuades the people on the radio and also is very agile when she got chased by a Wendigo in mines. Also, everyone around her always betray her like -Mike, her ex boyfriend -Jess, her ex best friend who dates Mike later -Ashley when she told everyone to shoot her just because she got bit by Wendigo and will turn to be a Wendigo (they ain't Zombies!) -Matt, if you choose to side with Jessica during their arguments and also not very supportive towards her throughout entire time. So, I can see why she is so passive aggresive toward everyone. At least when she found out of Hannah and Beth's remains on the mines, she feels guilty. For me, the most immoral character is going to be Mike like dude is not even apologize to the prank a year later or even feeling remorse to Josh for causing his sisters death also leave poor Josh who is in his schizophrenia in the mine alone instead help him!Also, he clowned Emily and dated Jessica later. tbh this ranking doesn't feel very in depth to me. it takes only a few instances from each character and bases it on that. And don't forget how the player choice can go against the established personalities of the characters. For example, Sam wouldn't kill the others in the lodge to save herself. It's established that she would try and help them all out. But the player can still choose to have her run to the switch and kill everyone else inside the lodge.

To add on to Mike, this guy continues to make stupid decisions decisions that puts everyone including himself at risk and he also makes boneheaded and dangerous assumptions. I don’t know if they necessarily attribute to immorality but they’re still there and he rarely if ever apologizes for it. A lot of stuff has been mentioned in the video already but some other of his poor decision making is like how he can just straight up abandon Jess. Yea he thinks she’s dead, but that’s the issue! Dangerous assumption and she could have actually lost her life. Instead of finding a way down to her, he instead follows the stranger despite there really being no way a human man can do what happened to Jess. He even goes to shoot the man before he can even be certain of his guilt. Blaming Josh for Jess’ death is yet another dangerous assumption to make. Beating him the whole way to the shed(but gets upset if Chris hits him). Worst of all, a detail I feel gets grossly overlooked, is that he leaves the basement to get the cable car key. He was NOT going there to save Josh. The fact he was even alive was incidental. And the worst part is that by going on this foolish mission, he puts the group in more danger! As things stood, the only threat was Handigo, they just needed to wait until dawn, they had TWO exits should anything happen, and they even had Josh’s surveillance cameras. Had Mike just stayed put like Sam urged, they’d have been relatively safe. Instead he goes and inadvertently frees the wendigo trapped in the sanitarium which leads to the others rushing out the basement and starting the finale of the game. Yea he comes up with the plan to blow the lodge, but it’s Sam who’s put in the most precarious position! And in the end his mission doesn’t even matter because 1) Sam can die which means the key burns with her body and 2) the authorities arrive like Sam and Emily said they would so they don’t get to use the car anyways.

@@berybluu6081 tbf he wanted to take precaution for everyone in the room and emily didn't want to listen (to leave the room), plus he was HEAVILY pushed by ashley by gaslighting everyone that a bite was 100% gonna turn her into a wendigo. Yes, going to shoot her was a bit extreme but at that moment nobody was really relaxed knowing about the monster and how the stranger (and potentially chris) died so easily. In the heat of the moment, especially when u're willing to make big sacrifices to save the rest, u're not gonna think more than twice

That's the thing with Mike, in any situation he doesn't think before doing something. He's not completely immoral, but the way he goes about Emily is very emotional. He unfortunately doesn't take into consideration that maybe they should get more information then that. He listens to Ashley if she says get her out. Also he puts himself in danger a lot of times that in reality would get him killed easily. If you compared him to Sam, 100% Sam is more moral than him because she doesn't put herself in situation that's dangerous. Her friends do so the way she goes about danger things especially with Mike is to doubt that maybe Emily won't turn whereas Mike instantly turns to the idea without thinking maybe this is a bad idea

@@flavioionasc4947 but victor had just explained how the curse works. saying it was a bit extreme is an understatement

Mike's heroism comes from narcissism as per his official bio and is trigger happy and impulsive and can get people killed for no reason. He's not the GOAT of anything lmao. Also the only character who can potentially get most his relationships to 0 by the end yikes
