Lunasa actually came to my high school the other week to promote their performance at a local college that has ties to Ireland. They are magnificent! Most of the students in my school were dancing in front of the stage. It was also great that the violin player was so funny because it really made us like the band more since most of us didn't know what to expect from a traditional Irish folk music band.

Uilleann pipes are bagpipes. You may use bellows to pump air into the "bag" instead of blowing into them like the Scottish Highland pipes, but they're still bagpipes.
@ElGringoIrlandes13 жыл бұрын
@sgoworld Actually the 3 tunes are MacLeod's Farewell / Morning Nightcap / Malbay shuffle I believe Lunasa incorrectly titled MacLeod's Farewell as "The Wedding Reel" on one of their records. Great music!

two different arts. im an Irish bagpiper myself (mostly the GH) but i have to admit the Uilleann pipe is just amazing. and the skill the Irish players have with that is ridiculous
