My daughter's school is also nut free. She doesn't like wow butter so most often she enjoys cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches. You could make the bear sandwich with cream cheese and use the cucumber in place of the banana

put some (watered down for taste) lemon juice into a ramekin, dip your finger in, and rub a bit on the exposed banana. definitely tedious, but if you have time to make these lunches you have time to do this.

You don't need to be a vegan to enjoy eating plant-based, that's for sure! Dates help add to the structure and stickiness of the 'nutella', and it's also a more wholesome sweetener in that it adds fiber. You can try substituting for a small amount of agave syrup or maple syrup - but I've not tried so not sure 100% how it will turn out. Might be a bit more 'thin' in consistency. Let me now how it goes if you try this! Start with a little, and add more as needed when testing for sweetness. Enjoy!

You could mail order dates. Don't know where you are located by Gracie's in Patagonia AZ might mail you a few pounds. They have Medjool dates. Try other varieties when you can, like Bhari, Honey dates, etc. many varieties.

I think according to food groups it also has some grains from the tortilla and fats from the spread... well, little kids (up to 6-8) dont eat that much as far as i know, so the portion amount is less than older children would eat

As a student of naturopathy, The idea of the Nutella is great but, do your research people, legumes don’t go with fruits, and only small group of fruits goes with vegetables, like green apples, tomatoes, avocados, lemon, zucchini, etc. Other wise is going to create a hostile environment, a door for gas, blotted stomach, and in few words sickness. Note: vegetables goes with legumes, legumes don’t go with fruits, small group fruits goes with vegetables. Good luck!

If you think kids wouldn't eat this, you're wrong. If this is all that have to eat, they're going to get hungry and they will eat it.

While I enjoy watching her other videos, this one was a red alert for me. A lot of people have a title of an expert, but that doesn't mean that they are necessarily good at their jobs, or that they are good at every aspect of their jobs - in this case nutrition for children. Why is this video a red flag for me and why do I agree that she probably doesn't have children of her own? You do realize the crap food you are mentioning, she is serving us here in the video? Those spreads and fruits are all sugar bombs. Why would you give that to your children as their lunch? Yes, ok as a snack, but not as lunch. Bread with jam, with a side of tomatoes. Even I as an adult would look at you and ask how are tomatoes a good side dish to jam? It doesn't make sense... One is watery and doesn't have much taste, the other one is a sugar bomb. The kid will be hungry in half an hour once all of that sugar gets used up. And the grapes in the same lunch box, that's also sugar... why is that not in the snack box instead?

Ashton Firkus errr yeah no. If you wont believe me, thats ok. You can google yourself. Natural or not natural, sugar is sugar, be it that it comes from candy or fruits. Your body cannot tell a difference. Take a look at Nutrition values for different fruits and nuts and youll see how many carbs, fats and sugar they have. Its simple math from here on. Well balanced doesnt mean all natural, that was a myth from 2000s...
