If I may, the best way to keep the dogs out of your food is to set a boundry away from where you are eating. You do that by walking up to them and pushing them back by walking slowing into them until they back up. Put you flat hand out infront of them and say stay. When they get up, just keep repeating. Christmas is smart, she will learn quickly. Some people use a floor mat or doorway. Good luck, let us know how it works.

BRO, I just this morning found your Channel for the first time. The video that came up was you and your wife rescuing your new dog, Christmas, that was hanging around the gas station. That video hooked me, and I just now Subscribed to your Channel. Your farm looks like a nice place. A friend and neighbor from my small rural community here in cold, snowy Minnesota just sold everything he owned and moved to Texas. My nephew bought his truck, a 4-wheel drive pickup that had low miles...older but in good condition. I envy your lifestyle and it looks like you found a perfect place to live. Listen I have dealt with depression since my first divorce (actually the divorce helped it out😂) but I've been on and off those meds for years. I, also deal with shoulder issues, oh the pain though at night is HORRIBLE, and I'm 50 too! Your knee pain, I have hip pain, BUT we keep going!!! I have never taken a day off of work for pain and I actually work for a construction company. I usually have you wth me during your lunch with LHL! I have been wth you guys for a LONGTIME!!!! I think this challenge has been good for you all!!! I know this comment has went a little bit of everywhere BUT I want you to remember that for the very few that don't like your content there is a couple hundred thousand like me who never missed a video and loves you enough that we (I) watch you on all platforms and thank you so much for ALL you all do!!! Thank you Lester. It's been a rough month. My husband totaled his vehicle because he hit a deer on the freeway and the insurance company has made it a nightmare. I need the laughs. If I can laugh I can get through it. Farms are a lot of work and when you have cold weather there are other challenges.

I think it's a wonderful challenge. It benefits you and the animals so that you are able to handle and treat the animals when you need to. You have to learn to do it safely for you and the animals. It will have to be ongoing. Great thinking, Jamie!

It can't be a "fake" farm because the animals are all healthy looking and the property is clean and tidy. There are always clean and full water troughs and decent hay. That does not come from anything BUT HARD WORK!! Hard work is always easier if you have company and a sense of humor all around. I have a smaller farm and I know all about the hard work that goes on behind the scenes and just a small part on camera.

Lester I wonder if there is some kind of compression sleeve that you could put on Tina’s knee? I worked in orthopedic surgery for 15yrs. We had many patients with chronic inflammation like Tina’s. Once drained, the compression sock, along with steroids injections, really helped reduce inflammation and fluid retention. Just a thought!! ❤❤hugs

Hi Lester, I just realized that you have 2 'hobby' farms/ranches. Any thing that is around or under 100 acres that doesn't really raise anything for sale is called a hobby farm or ranch. I know IMAS is a sanctuary and it coiulc fall under a different catagory because acres don't matter there.

I sometimes have issues getting videos to play on FB, yet no issue with YT. So, kind of sad I may miss out on the FB ones. Lester, I think Christmas has had good training at some point, the not running out the door is threshold training, try using commands like leave it, if you don't want her in it like your plate (Maybe in both English and Spanish). The trainer near me uses the word "break" when play time . She will come around to you but may never care for your face in hers, for correction just the word no from you may be enough then as you have reward for the right thing. You will do whatever is best for Tina. My vet always says when the bad days out numbered the good days it is time. Christmas letting you touch her feet is a sign of trust on her part, she likes you it will just take time until she realizes correction will not mean being hurt. I think LHL is perfect for both Trixie and Christmas, less traffic and no small feathers I don't think Trixie wants to "play" with the ostriches
