A suggestion to your excellent videos - I dont know where to send suggestions, but can you do progressive grease metering system animation - eg; showing a common 6 outlet progressive grease flow system - pump gets go command, grease pressure rises via supply gauge, flow/pressure to each outlet port via pressures on each outlet port as each outlet doses, the proximity cycling switch operating, and finally a 'blockage' in 1 of the discharge line nozzles, (eg #4), showing resultant pressures in all the outlet lines when #4 blocks.. If you also wanted, the other type of grease metering is parallel system..

Thanks for your suggestion. We've done just a little bit of work with grease systems. I believe it is inevitable that we will produce more material on that topic in the future, given all of the work we do with excavators and shovels. - Carl

Hello Carl,ive noticed that there is a flow control or restrictor at the pump outlet located before the pressure sensor line.What happens if there is no flow control or restrictor?Will the pump still function as it should?These is John Evan from Philippines,I’ve watch most of your videos and I learned a lot.Again thank you.

You always need a restriction between the load and the pump for this style pump to work as it should. Not having a flow control, directional control, or restriction of some kind to backfeed a downstream signal to the flow compensator is the same as cutting the communication between the work hydraulics and the pump controller altogether. It is the same result as dumping the LS signal line and sending the pump into a neutral low pressure standby condition. There would be no reference pressure being fed back to the flow compensator telling it how to govern the amount of flow (swashplate angle) to apply against the load. The flow compensator would always open against a the light (i.e. 200-400PSI) compensator spring and send the pump into the low pressure standby condition and 0 displacement. You'd only get flow out of the pump when the load pressure fell beneath the flow compensator spring pressure, the margin pressure (i.e. 200-400PSI).

Good day . The elastration you are using , is it a application you created . Will like to get my hands on something like this for training .

Excellent video. I have a very stupid question. Does this flow compensated mechanisam acts like a "hydraulic governor"? Secondly why the electric generator is not directly coupled to the diesel engine and a governor should be used on the diesel engibe to control the speed of the generator? Why such a complicated mechanism that involves an axial piston (variable displacement) pump and hydraulic motor? Thanks for sparing your valuable time.

Hydraulic generators can used on mobile equipment, I.e excavators, bachoe-loaders, crane trucks where engine speed varies, to power hand tools, water pumps etc. Generator can used normally even diesel running at idle speed. Search Dynaset.

Here you have explained how to mentaine motor speed regardless Prime mover speed fluctuation. Can you please explain how would do the same regardless load fluctuations?

What would be the rule for restriction that would be needed to set up the flow compensator? Thanks, Jim.

Hi, So can the ls valve be used to adjust Flow speed also? Bigger Delta P - > higher Flow rate?

Carl, excuse me, could you please tell me wich programming did you use for making your software?

We make all the software ourselves. You can read more about it here: www.carldyke.com/live-schematics

Carl, excuse me, do you use Scratch?
@lunchboxsessions8 жыл бұрын
Scratch is a great tool for learning how to program, but it's not what we use. We have traditionally used Adobe Flash to make our animations, but we've now switched to creating animations that run in the web browser using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SVG.

What will occur if the hydro motor will force to go backward? We use hydraulic without LS to tow paragliders. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHqoXoeepc2iiK8 When the wind gets stronger, paraglider goes backward, thy hydro motor should be able to rotate backward with the same momentum on the axel. Is it possible with this schematic?
