I haven’t collected comic books in like over 20 years and I like watching this and other collecting things shows. I have no interest in collecting anything anymore. I want to sell almost all the stuff I have, but it’s fun to watch.

That Captain Midnight #15 is from here in Australia, it's a pre-decimal issue (we shifted from pounds/shillings/pence to dollars/cents on 14 Feb. 1966); published by Cleland, a company that did a lot of Fawcett reprints. The cover is the same newsprint as the story pages rather than the glossy paper used in the US, and it may well have b/w interiors. LB Cole was an amazing artist whose work was so different to his peers in comics at the time. Marie Severin: what a fantastic artist and colourist, from colouring the war books at EC through her wonderful caricatures for Marvel's Not Brand Ecch to drawing Fraggle Rock and Muppet Babies for Marvel's Star Comics.

I think you are in the phase where you mostly completed your wishlist and start buying random crap. Ive been there for a short while. Thankfully i got back on track
@lunchmoneycomics2 ай бұрын
@@ManaLeak13 well I certainly wouldn’t call any of my pickups “crap”, I don’t have the money to buy expensive stuff all the time. Adding smaller stuff is still collecting and is more in line with my LMC philosophy anyways
@ManaLeak132 ай бұрын
@@lunchmoneycomics Maybe I consider them crap because I'm not from the US and I've never heard of them. If you are on the phase "I want to read quality comics", I recommend reading Disney by Carl Barks and Don Rosa as well as the French-Belgian comics of Asterix, Lucky Luke and Tintin. They are way way better than most of the 90's US comics I see people collect or read by myself. Also expensive doesnt always necessary mean "a good comic read". Personally i collect comics i enjoy reading again and again , and not because they have reselling value in other collectors 😀
