Thank you for this series of videos. I am 60 years old and for 40 years a sailboater. The wife and I (and a 60 lb Airedale Terrier who loves the water) are looking for a fishing and day boat for the Finger Lakes, Great Lakes and NYS Canal System & rivers (and one 1,100 acre lake close nearby that has a 25 Hp limit but allows "kickers" if the main engine is left up) and have been leaning towards the Pro-V 1975 before I came across your videos. I liked the wider gunnels because when locking through the canal it is an advantage to have a good place to step or stand.You reinforced my leading choice.

The Impact boats are way too deep especially for Bass or Musky fishing when you keep the net over the side to help the fish stay alive or have reach over the side to the water. The Pro V Muskie is the other extreme with decks right up to the gunnel. Might as well get a bass boat -with no lower floor space. They should put a console in the Pro Guide (with a rear deck) for the ultimate fishing boat!

I like your video. I'm really interested in the 1775 impact or 1875 because of the layout and because I do mostly fishing. You mention that the 1875 impact boat is about 2" deeper (same for the 1775?) than the pro v but the crossover is a little deeper. My concern is that I want to do more Lake Michigan fishing at times and Lake Winobago fishing along with several Canada trips where wave condition become 2-3' and I want to make sure the impact can handle it. what are your thoughts? My boat has one session paint peeling around rivets dealer did some tests everything looks ok .lund not gonna paint boat under warranty because they can't find a problem garbage service i have 3 years warranty for everything and now looks like i don't have it.peopes don't buy lund no warranty and bad service.
